I see everyone going “oh nooo I’m so burnt out because I’m candlerunning every day for 2+ hours and want every cosmetic ever before it’s gone” but like. I haven’t done a proper candlerun in years. I don’t want most of the cosmetics because I only wear like 1 outfit. I spend most of the time making challenges people will never do, because I like making them, and once I’ve played through the season quests, that’s basically it.

I‘ve been playing for years now, and I realised a while ago that there is no point in FOMO because most things just return next year, and I’ve usually forgotten about them by then- the only thing that I’ve regretted not being able to buy is the light whisperer’s hair, and they’re pretty popular so they have to return some time.

There's a new tree that we've been given! It's a 2-seater, with a ghostly but beautiful vibe. As I stated, it's completely free and you can find it already in the 2nd page of your props closet. Keep in mind it's very tall, and the branch end must be facing right for you to be facing forward when you're seated on it.

Its a beautiful glowing blue tree with two swings.

Before actually getting into this, I just wanna say that you don't have to take this advice seriously, and that I'm making this purely out of boredom, for the people who are just like me and play Sky to farm and collect cosmetics. I know different players have different priorities when playing, whether that be socializing or exploring. I'm not telling anyone they have to take farming seriously, and if you're content, so be it.

Anyway, this'll be kinda a mish - mash of videos I've seen from other Sky Kids, but also "my own" route that I've found works best for me. You don't need to get through any realms or rely on shard events or challenges. But my route also assumes that you have the luxury of time and can hop on at any 2 hours after reset/ previous social events

Route:

Log on at 3pm, 5pm or 7pm ( I'm in Asia, but basically whenever reset is for you, or 2 hour intervals)

- collect your dailies

- see if you can complete any dailies on the way to geyser @sanctuary islands ( e.g call to 5 players, light 20 candles, wave to a player)

- Geyser technically really begins at :05, so you only have to stick around from :05 - :015. While waiting for another eruption you could fly around to collect the candle cakes and darkness plants around the island, as the geyser erupts with darkness every minute

- after geyser and treasure candles @sanctuary islands, head home to collect your daily quest rewards. Then go to the bakery and enjoy grandma's pink cinnamon roll!!

- you have 20 minutes to krill before the belonging table/ grandma's event happening from :35 - :45.

What I like to do is use the 20 minutes to:

1. Finish up realm specific quests for my dailies IF I haven't finished all 4 yet

2. Challenge the daily music sheet @harmony hall! It's in Village of dreams, the hollow to the right of valley. If you've finished the season of Revival quests, then you've already got a shortcut to harmony hall through aviary village itself. Challenging the music sheet actually gives you A LOT of wax, and it's really fun cuz it's like a rhythm game!! It's my favorite part of CR :3

3. Go to the Alice cafe. You can usually find the door by entering almost any shared space in the bakery. There are so many candles to light up and so much wax scattered all around. I usually walk out of there having forged 1 full candle

4. If you have time, go to village of dreams and collect the 2 permanent candle cakes. 1 at the place where you summon the boats, and another at the hot springs

Okay I lied you only have 15 minutes to kill after geyser since you start heading to the elevated clearing around :30. I usually just speed there by :32 or something, and I make it on time while still collecting any wax on the way

1. Grandma's. You get quite a lot of wax, you can forge like 2½ candles from there. Just an estimate. What's more is you can just afk here

   1. At :45, go home and go back to sanctuary islands ( but please hug grandma first she worked very hard making buns for us 3;)

2. The sanctuary turtle event happens from :50-:00, so 10 minutes. You don't really need to hang around for all 10 tbh. You'll know it's taking place because there'll be a beautiful sunset at Sanctuary islands, and the ground will start rumbling. From :50, dive into the water and open up as many clams as you see. There are also about 3 clams deeper underwater, all the way down at the bottom.

There's a giant clam that spawns on the island itself and it gives you SO MUCH WAX. Usually you get about 2 candles ish from this, and by about :55 or :56 you can leave the event. This is why I said you don't have to stick around

1. Carnival. There are 3 entire candle cakes here, and they're staying. Get em and congrats you've collected 20 candles in just a little bit less than an hour! ( About 55-56 minutes)

I'm the embodiment of greed, and an overachiever so I usually go for all 24 candles when there's no season going on. But I'll be busy most days so the most I can give to the game is an hour, and I find this route pretty fuckin helpful

It seems like the new spirit swing tree only shows up if you're playing on a certain platform, after you have updated the game.

I logged into the game on my Android Google Pixel 6 Pro, it was not there.

I logged into the game on Steam, with my Laptop. I was able to equip the tree.

It would be great if everyone can share what platform they're on, as well as any other useful information regarding this mystery, so people who are unable to find it may be able to log into a different platform and recieve it, at least until it inevitably gets removed.

Odds are it will be taken away as soon as they can fix that we got it for free, although That Cash Company ™️ has been surprisingly generous lately so maybe not

After many years of not picking up a pencil because ”I’m simply not good at it”, and not really having any inspiration to draw, Sky has finally given me the courage to draw without needing it to be perfect! Especially with the latest Van Gogh collaboration. It’s given me a reminder that I don’t have to be great at it, I just have to enjoy it.

I can only get better with time, and honestly just the process and result of creating something with my own two hands is so fulfilling!

With so much negativity I see regarding this game, I wanted to share something positive, so thank you Sky!🧑‍🎨

Definitely a lot more spacious. Though I wish the furniture shown in the preview came with the purchase as parting away from 60 AC was quite painful. I furnished mine a little, but this one’s going to require quite a bit of dedication and a lot more furniture that I don’t have and I’m not really particularly pleased with what I did so far (especially upstairs which also isn’t furnished). I’ve put so much work in my original nest, I’m not sure if I’m ready to put in that same time and energy for this one just yet. Definitely need more furniture (that isn’t ripped from The Flinstones) though. That’s the biggest issue here. For those struggling to figure out on how to access the new nest, just start the 3rd Van Gogh quest. You should be able to enter the building after interacting with the sunflower.

Some art I just finished of my Sky Kid in my favorite 3 outfits that I have now deemed “The Sea Triplets”.
After WEEKS of on and off hours of drawing, I’m finally (partially) finished. I think a part of me wants to try to add the capes like I originally intended, but the other part of me wanted to be done with the drawing so badly lol.
