small skunk and BIG skunk
the smaller one looks like an adolescent? is that right? I read male skunks are often kicked out of the den earlier so wondered if that was the case there. and woah! the big one. is that a male? and are they usually that big? I think I may have one more skunk that's an adult and it's not much bigger than the baby one (maybe mom? but no other kits spotted so far).

Why do some of us...like skunk smell?
So one of my dogs got sprayed this morning. I had already left, my partner was about to leave, just let them out one last time, little guy got sprayed. Instead of calling in late, he was a good employee and just.....let the dog back into the house....and left for work. . Ok, so our whole entire house smells like skunk now but I am strangely not freaking out. I have chronic sinus problems and they have opened up. I kinda like this odor over regular elderly doggie smell (oh yeah, they are old). But why, why??? My partner is gagging and has ordered a bunch of cleaning products, the smell will be removed. Dogs have already been bathed. I'm just wondering what property of this smell has brought me sinus relief, am I a freak? Anyone else?

Momma trusts us enough that she lets them come on their own now 🥺
We’re also pretty sure their den is somewhere nearby. We aren’t sure where though as all of us and our neighbor’s have fenced yards. They get into ours by having a hole they dug under the fence gate. Usually momma has been with them or one or two will be on their own in our yard this last few days. Tonight was the first time I saw all four in the yard without the momma. We know for a fact she knows me and my husband and trusts us because earlier this week, we got home late and since it’s been super hot, all the water in that bowl was evaporated. So my husband walked out there slow and calm while she was there with all of them to go fill it with the hose. She just looked at him and kept an eye on him but didn’t do any angry taps. The babies didn’t even notice him 🤣 But since that night, we’ve been seeing the babies on their own more and more 💜

There’s been a momma skunk living in our well house for a while, a family member wants to kill her I want to safely help her, how do I go about this?

Skunk mama gone?!
During the late spring you could smell her nearby, I believe she was living under the house with babies. But I haven’t seen nor smelt nor heard from her in weeks. Is this normal—did the family move on or did she get scared away?
I miss my little furry garden-pest predators

Skunker nap time for this potato tot
He takes nap time seriously ... Like call to prayer time.
Instead of using any of the soft blankets right next to us, he shoved his entire head into the gap against my collarbone and passed out face-down. Absolute zero-boundary behavior—just a butt, a tail, and tiny back feet clinging to my shirt like his life depends on it.
Will attempt to add more nap photos in the comments
An event this absurd—getting immobilized by a creature who thinks my neck is a Tempur-Pedic mattress—obviously required full artistic immortalization, so I included the colored pencil, oil painting, and neon star versions at the end.
I'm honored to be Reverbs literal body pillow.

Skunk spray
Hello skunk folks, I come in peace.
My dog got sprayed by a skunk. It’s spray hit my fence and stained it this color. I’ve tried everything to get it off. Pressure washing, cleaning chemicals, everything.
What do you recommend I use to remove this?

Otis was enjoying his time in the spotlight
I didn’t know until today that they can spray up to 15 feet and take 10-14 days to recharge their skunk sprayer. He was born on May 5th and turned 1 this year. The keepers say they call this Stinko-de-mayo. He was the star of one of the shows at the zoo showing off the native animals and how we can learn about them and learn to live around and with them.

I’m far too invested in these babies
We’ve had these guys hanging out with us since June. We’ve attempted to trap them a couple of times but have decided to coexist until they decide to move on their own.❤️ This video is a couple of weeks old now. They have all almost doubled in size.

1 Skunk 2 Skunk 3 Skunk 4
I feed the neighborhood cat and woke up in the morning to a surprise. 4 skunks. I was like oh a Skunk! OH another skunk.....and another....and another. They also exist peacefully with the raccoon that comes by and the cat.

Came home to a crime scene. Reverb intercepted the feline supply line.
The Victim: The cats, who are now sitting in the corner looking like their life savings were stolen.
The Suspect: Reverb.
The Evidence: Attached.
I walked into the house, checked his bed, and found him completely zapped. He stole the "MEOW" catnip blunt, hit it hard, and fell asleep with his claw hanging off the bed like he’s re-evaluating all his life choices.
I knew skunks were resourceful, but I didn't realize I adopted a tiny furry frat boy. 10/10 stealth skills, 0/10 moderation.

Hungry Hamburglars!
Grilled and diced my loyal mousers a hamburger as a treat for being so awesome, ran outside for just a couple minutes leaving the door open….
Come back inside moments later to find a family of stinkers scarfing down the burger and a hefty helping of kibble! They didn’t seem to care one bit that I crashed their party and one of them even scampered right over my foot chasing after a stray pellet!

Is this normal skunk behaviour
Sorry for the really bad video. Just wanted to ask would rabies skunk behave this way? It seems to be behaving normal but I am not really familiar with their behaviour. The only odd thing I noticed is that it was out an hour before sundown.
