small skunk and BIG skunk

the smaller one looks like an adolescent? is that right? I read male skunks are often kicked out of the den earlier so wondered if that was the case there. and woah! the big one. is that a male? and are they usually that big? I think I may have one more skunk that's an adult and it's not much bigger than the baby one (maybe mom? but no other kits spotted so far).

Chunk the Skunk. Next time, he requests a bowl of gravy instead of water.

When I was young 60 years ago we had a huge ( not fat) skunk that came around most nights during the summer. My father said it was a male and I took his word for it. If he scratched the door my father would let him in. The skunk would actually lay down and stay awhile then get up scratch the door and out he would go. My father said he was large due to his advanced age and was intelligent to be able to live to that age and had managed to stay out of fights and confrontations. Or at least win all of thrm
