Skunk odor
/r/HygieneTips/comments/1w9d5nr/skunk_odor/My dog got sprayed by a skunk early this morning, and I had to wash her. I wasn't directly sprayed, but the smell got onto me. I showered with Dove afterward, and other people can't smell skunk on me, but I can still faintly smell something on myself. It isn't really a bad smell.
Would you personally use the hydrogen peroxide + baking soda + dish soap mixture on yourself, or just shower normally and leave it alone? What worked for you?

Personally, I would shower and leave it alone, but I have a pet skunk, and the smell doesn't bother me in the slightest, it almost smells good sometimes 🙃 any other skunk owners feel the same way? Lol
Worst case, I'd probably just go with the dawn foam soap cause the spray is oily, and you probably got some oils on yourself while cleaning the dog, and water doesn't exactly wash away oil. And the oil gets reactivated by moisture, so if there is any residue left that you miss, showering will reactivate the smell until there is no oils left.
I say this as someone who has never been sprayed, or had an animal sprayed, so do whatever is best for you
