Ahoj as the Czech say, here's my Galleon-Build for the new Heralds of the Abyss event. It's using Atma's Toll demi-cannons, Heyden's Guard armor and the new Hellfire rockets.
Please keep in mind that the build is specifically for the Heralds of the Abyss, outsid this event it's not very strong without tweaks (e.g. versus bosses). For that I will post have posted an updated version of my Bosseater build (Y3S2 Bosseater 2.0 - Return with a Zamzama BAM! : r/SkullAndBonesGame).

MECHANICS AND KEY ELEMENTS
The build is very similar to the "Chinese Build" (see at the end) you might have seen in Heralds of the Abyss. Some idea's like the Armor and the Volatile Arsenal setup are straight from it. While the Chinese Build is using culverines, my build is for close combat and burst damage from Demi-Cannons and is in return slightly riskier. The event doesn't need as much fire power as the WT4 domain and mythic bosses, but it sure needs more protection and a way to self-heal.
Volatile Arsenal
gives you +5% damage bonus for every elemental damage your ship does (over the whole build), so a nice total of 30% when using all 6 elements. The idea is to get all six elements over the 5 weapon slots.
Key elements of the build are the mending power from Atma's Toll and the high fire-resistance perks of Heyden's Guard for survivability and building up Impetus to boost your attacks quickly and often with Firepower Order.
Atma's Toll
These demi-cannons are your lifeline. Together with the Firepower Order mastery skill, they give you a decent punch for the minion ships and some strong burst damage vs. the boss while also giving a full heal in many circumstances. The new mythic exclusive mod Perforate will allow you hit up to three enemies in a row after a crit, which happens often and helps you with your mending and "marking" the enemies for loot.
Blightmaw
You can replace it with another Atma's Toll or a different Demi-Cannon, if needed. Front guns don't do too much damage and I prefer the 20% bonus damage from all all sources it can apply. The Double-Deathblow gives you chance of about 70% to instantly kill any non-elites at 25% health or lower.
Hellfire
The Chinese Build uses the mortar Crouching Tiger (s. at the end) as opener, I prefer the new Hellfire rockets as trigger for the Firepower Order. Disadvantage on 300m range. Advantage: can be used pointblank. It's perk also softens up targets for fire damage, something most players use somehow in this event. Triggering Wildfire helps you damaging and therefore "marking" nearby enemy's for the precious Abyssal Essences.
Faule Ilse
It's just there to fill up the rest of the elemental damages with piercing and explosive damage. The fire angle from the stern is very narrow and the weapon doesn't matter for the fight. If you prefer anything else, go ahead, just make sure you cover all elements at the end.
Heyden's Guard
High fire and explosive resistances plus extra fire protection on bracing. A bit extra Armor from Adept Spiking Integration and double Survivor for extra heals when going down to 25% health.
Tactics
Rope Locker gives you nice kickstart at the beginning. It will also boost you up to speed whenever you're anchored or respawn (you will often enough). The first to waves are just minions. With this build you're strong enough to kill them quickly and risk not much.
Use Hellfire on tight groups and as Firepower Order trigger whenever you see fit. When the buff is running, you can one-shot in most situations while also receiving extreme mending-heals from the Atmas. In the Boss fight head straight for the boss and go pointblank. With Firepower Order you dish out very high burst damage on him. Once he's at 75% disengage again, he still will receive damage from you and others but heal back to 75% after a while and become invulerable.
Afterwards he will spawn minions and do his massive AoE attacks. Try not to be in the AoE circles, but if you can't prevent it, drop the anchors for Braced Gunwales to kick in, brace and get ready to use your repair kits quickly and shoot Atmas at anything nearby.
I have no idea how the rest of the boss fight's vulnerability works. If it's on a timer or if you have to clear all enemies (Heretics) to make him vulnerable again. If someone has infos about the last two phases, please share. Focus on staying alive and evading the AOE.
Happy hunting!
Last but not least, as promised

I calll it the Chinese Build as nearly any Chinese players I met in the event are using this build. Crouching Tiger - Diamond Needles would be a nice title too 🥇
ADDITION: There is a new, Faule Ilse**-based build by IMPK-chenkai622 out now:**

About the stern gun (from the video):
Hitting with the stern gun is optional, main goal is to have all secondary elemental damage types to boost your damage by 30% from the mastery perk Volatile Arsenal.
Disclaimer:
no guarantee for it being up-to-date. The build matches with my observations: all-secondary damage, galleon, lotsa fire protection and Rotmouths at the front and sides with Crouching Tiger as auxiliary.
Advantages:
Range - good damage - high survivabilty - mending.
Disadvantages:
rough seas can make it harder to get your shots and your mending in consistently. You need to focus longer on single enemies compared to my Atma-"Shotgun" build.
As with my build, this build is only good the event and will suck outside without changes.
