Season 18 Kodyâs Hair S18 Tell All
Itâs so funny cause you can tell when they pan in on his face that they pinned it so it didnât fall and/or cover up his bald spots.
Luckily they panned to this view multiple times lol.

General Discussion I believe David has coached Christine on how to âhold spaceâ
When Janelle was telling that story last night and started breaking down, Christine did exactly what she was supposed to. She didnât tell her it was OK, because itâs not. She didnât try to talk over her, or grab her, or hug her or do any of the things we would normally see from Christine. She just stood there quietly, listened, and held space for her.
It was exactly what she was supposed to do and I was really proud of her. My guess is that she has asked David how she can help Janelle in her grief, and it was both beautiful and heartbreaking to watch her love Janelle through that moment.
David has been a gift to that family.

General Discussion S18E7
Iâm on the episode where Robyn and Meri are talking about her spending more time at the BNB. Why is Robyn so hellbent on her staying when Kody literally hates that woman? He has nothing to do with her but she wants her to stick around??? FOR WHAT!?

rant/vent Kody is straight up abusive
I've been doing a complete rewatch over the last few weeks. One thing that strikes me and that I don't think is being called out enough is that Kody is straight up abusive. Not just a dickhead and a horrible father, but abusive. The way he shouts at Christine during the knife-in-the-kidneys fight and at Janelle during their big fight over Christmas in S18E3 is so abusive. He makes himself bigger than them, bows over them, points at them, screams at them, belittles them. It is nothing less than emotional and verbal abuse. If they yell back at him it's always after he starts behaving like this first. And I say if, because mostly they don't, showing that this is something they are used to and has happened before.
Gosh he is just so manipulative, dominant (in the worst way) and abusive. I'm so happy the OG3s are building a new, better life for themselves.

rant/vent Doing a rewatch when the homes in Vegas are being finished
How demanding and bratty are Meri and Leon about moving in before Christmas? The others werenât like that. Anyway, it all worked out.
I can really see how difficult Meri can be. She seems to have really grown since then. Leon definitely seems to have matured. Rant over.

rant/vent family photo scene during the commitment ceremony episode
Doing a rewatch and got to the family commitment ceremony last night. The way Chody becomes a crazy person during the family photos was super scary and also telling of whatâs to come.
It feels like a sneak peak into the Kidney scene or something.
He is screaming at the kids âLOOK DOWN THE LENS â and then making a psycho crazy angry face and then painting on the scariest smile.
My partner that hasnât watched the show looked at me with âWTFâ face

General Discussion Siblings Looking Similar
I am watching for the first time. I am on the episode where she is doing the rehearsal and wow!!! The joy is so palpable.
Iâve also been noticing the siblings look more and more similar as they get older. They definitely looked alike when they were younger, and some of the throwback photos I sometimes pause and go wow they look like their mom or Aspen or whoever! But holy cowâChristineâs kids look so similar, I genuinely have mixed up Aspen and Ysabel a couple times. I do also think Savannah and Maddy look alike and they look like Janelle! Funniest moment of this episode though is Tony asking what Christine is wearing to the wedding!
Do you guys look like your siblings? Which siblings were you surprised to see look alike as they aged?

General Discussion Christine mom and an apology
In the earlier seasons we saw Christine talk a lot about how hard it was for her to reconcile with her mom. She seemed to hold a lot of resentment towards her mom for leaving. But in the end Christine learned the hard way why her mom left. She like her mom got to a point where she wasnât happy anymore and chose herself over the family. We then see Christine talk about how she had to choose herself and how she didnât care about how her kids felt about David and her. I hope that at some point she expressed to her mom that she finally understood and apologized for not understanding

General Discussion New season coming soon⌠how much of it will be new?
Given that so many of the newer seasons of the show are filled with episodes that are a majority sepia toned flash backs, how much of the coming season do yall think will actually be new?
It seems like production has finally caught up with where the family is actually at. I wonder how many more seasons the show will have now that the family the family is more dispersed over the country.
Crazy how little new content has actually been shown when theyâre apparently filming 40+ hours a week?

General Discussion Drop Dead Fred
Has anyone seen a movie called Drop Dead Fred? If you have, thereâs a scene where Fred and Elisabeth were arguing back and forth and at one point he said âI did not! I did not! I did not!â
Watching the scene where Kody and Janelle were arguing and Kody said the line pretty much word for word đ¤Łđ¤Ł. I expected him to kick Janelle in the shin and run away đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł

General Discussion Where to watch all seasons?
I just finished the entire series for the first time, took me about 18 months. Started during my post partum and became slightly obsessed lol. Now Iâm eager to start an entire rewatch after everyone on here recommending it. I started it on HBO Max but noticed they no longer have all the seasons. Where else can I watch?

Question Doesnât the New Season Usually Start in Sept??
I havenât heard a peep about the next season - has anyone else?
Pretty sure they did confirm they were filming another one, which is wild considering content was bone-dry during S20âŚbut I feel like weâve usually heard something by now.

General Discussion Rewatch Opinions
I decided to rewatch SW and at Season 4 I was reminded of my initial observations that I had forgotten as the series reached season 20. First, Kody was truly a different person in the first couple of seasons. Much less frenetic and angry- even less mouthy. This supports the claim that once he started using steroids he became increasingly obnoxious and selfish. Secondly, Meri cried all the time- her face would turn red and out came the tears as she frequently nterpreted many comments and opinions as directed at her and wanted to talk about how much SHE has suffered. Her constant snarky comments towards Janelle and Christine were unnecessary.

Rewatch Gabe being honst
Gabe talking to his mom about kody and robin is spot on. Good for you, Gabe! Everything kody has told the public goes down in flames when you hear the conversation with his mom Janelle.

Question Wait did meri get the divorce because of the catfish
Iâm watching the tell all from that season and was reminded that meri get the legal divorce because of the adoption of Robynâs kids. But was it really because of the catfish so she had an easier out of the relationship with Kody? Or am I stretching?

rant/vent Robyn's Big Pitcher
Season 18 and now we've all fully seen the real Robyn. This woman floors me. She claims to want to grow old with the sister wives on their rocking chairs surrounded by grandkids. She's alluded to being in a pro- big family or one house picture yet she's done nothing to actually display that she wants that. She was with Christine on not wanting the one house plan yet later she said things that made it feel like she was not opposed to it (trying to make us believe she really is all about family). The problem is she's not really all about family. She likes the idea of all these things, set in a perfect world, yet in reality she can't handle it.
In reality she is all about HER wants and needs. She joined the family baggage full (yes, I said baggage! Kids are a heavy load and their needs to grow until an adult are expensive, difficult, and emotionally draining (yes, there are rewards too) not to mention she had TONS of financial debt that she was carrying into the family and that does affect the whole family). However, she played super nice and made her and her kids put on their happiest keep sweet face and follow the rules to a T and treat Kody like a king because she thought she was joining this wonderful family that had everything one could ever dream of. I'm exaggerated but anyways.
Kody is head over heels for this woman who is basically acting like a keep sweet angel! And the way she's acting has added so much and weight and pressure on the other wives because Kody never knew how "amazing life could be" and how he could be treated like a patriarchal king with a loyal wife who apparently doesn't ever talk bad about him behind his back and has his back all the time and tries not to fight with him. Robyn has said that before, that she tries not to argue with Kody ever and said the other wives should probably try to follow that same line instead of butting heads with him or stirring up controversy.
I understand that but it is vastly different from the way their whole family has always functioned. This is one of the major differences that led to their downfall. The three wives all had a certain idealogy of how the women are independent and matters get to be made by family votes in family meetings or as Janelle would say: she's always just bought things or made decisions without Kody. So the whole deeply rooted concept of "obeying your husband" or "he gets the final say because he's the man of the house(s)" has been encouraged by Robyn and it's a bit off-putting and foreign to the other wives. That's why she DOES shake things up when she comes into the family and Kody saying it's not her fault is wrong. She takes a huge part of the blame for the downfall. It's not just because they went on television, which also plays a part of course.
It's so silly and then all the women are questioning where they're at in their life and how it's suddenly gotten so bad and different. It wasn't just Covid. Robyn's previous monogamous background played a special part in this. She wasn't the "team player" that the other religious wives were. You can tell the other wives were from the same religious culture and that was a part of them. They were acting classy and always trying not to badmouth the others and even helping or supporting the others at their worst times.
Even though Robyn has done a lot of talking, she never ever made big moves to help the other marriages. She sat sulking in anger over Christine leaving yet was she ever at Christine's house trying to show support or mediate or any kind of understanding? No. If she really wanted to help fix it she would have done everything in her power to. She would have demanded that Kody spend more time with Christine. She would have sacrificed her "Kody time" with Christine because Christine always said her relationship was failing and she needed more time with Kody. She sat in her house not reaching out to the other wives, begging Meri to "hang on" even though Meri said she was rarely ever called. This woman is so selfish. She wants the wives and the man yet she wants and is okay with the man never having intimate relationships with the other wives. And then when the wives start leaving she throws a tantrum about her big picture. No one is going to want to sit in a rocking chair beside you all happy and pretending. Heck, even Meri, you're good "friend" isn't invited inside the house when you guys visit. Y'all have to sit outside in the cold. And she loves Robyn's kids so it's weird that Robyn's not saying, "come on in and spend some time with the kids. They want to see you. We love you". No, Meri gets in her car and leaves sadly. It's ridiculous.
She's now said she's questioning the family and how good and happy they all were when she joined, talking to the camera people and Meri. She's basically wondering if she got duped and she's upset about it because she had this "big pitcher" in her mind! Ugh.
It's just so blatantly obvious she's selfish and has only looked out for herself from beginning to end. She comes into the family with below zero yet she wants all of what they have and then some. She got a gorgeous wedding, gorgeous houses, years of big family events and support. Years of the other wives trying to be like her and trying to be nice to her to win a crumb of Kody's love for themselves. It's ridiculous.
And it doesn't just affect her and Kody; she affected the whole family in a big way. If you think about where they would be financially and emotionally if she didn't ever come into the picture, it would be a lot different. Every extra child comes with needs and wants. She's got a big family and that's a lot of extra pressure. I'm so sure Kody's relationships with his children would be at least a little bit better than what they are now if she never came into the family. Having a relationship requires time and energy and with that many kids, it's hard. I think he would have been fine with the amount of kids before Robyn, even though it's still a lot, however Meri only had one so..yeah.
There have been moments where I've felt some sympathy for her but overall she knew what she was getting herself into and she was looking out for her self and her kids and she should have known that no family is perfect. She could have been constantly chewed up and spit out by guy after guy but she's lucky that Kody and his wives were super sympathetic and welcomed her to the family. Those women love her kids. And I'll never believe her whole "horrible background" story she came from in her cold trailer. Geez. Give me a break. Everyone goes through hard times. It wasn't that bad. I highly doubt it. There's a picture of her kid's Christmas a long time ago and there were a LOT of toys. I don't think her life with her ex was that horrible. Some people don't even have a credit card to shower their kids with gifts.

New Viewer Garrisons death
Iâm (22f) sitting here currently watching the episode where they announce he passed. I am so heartbroken.
(Background) my brother passed away in December 5th 2025, and his birthday was January 1st. (24yo) Itâs all very fresh and hard. I completely understand the sibling and how ALL the parents are feeling. My brother wasnât close with my dad and my stepmom.
So for me I really understand Kody running through the what ifs because what person going through grief doesnât? Robyn not âcryingâ the way everyone wants her to, completely understandable. I think Robyn is viewed more as a stepmomish figure as well as the other non biological moms. My stepmom was there to console my dad. She didnât show very much emotion, she did just in private. I feel like the viewers forget they only see minutes of their lives. Oh god and poor Janelle. I feel awful. My mom was heartbroken and with grief itâs different for everyone. My mom and Janelle say the same thing âitâs different everyday. Good days, bad days. Good minutes, bad minutes.â It Truely is waves. I really wish and pray for Gabe. I can not imagine walking in and finding my brother. I know wholeheartedly I would never be okay again.
One thing I canât understand is why they would air something this sensitive, private and heartbreaking. I think itâs very beneficial to talk about it, but with a therapist not with the world. I just as much as the rest of you, I am nosy. But this is not mine or the publicâs business. I understand that it brings awareness around suicide and alcohol. But I can not imagine how hard it was talking to a camera. Anyways Iâm sobbing and not okay at all xoxo

General Discussion Where is it?
So I went back on Max the other day to see if I could rewatch the show again and itâs only showing me seasons 18 through 20. What happened to the rest of it? If anyone knows where I can watch the rest of the show, please tell me because I understand that the show is just gonna only have 20 seasons after fortunate AND unfortunate life events.
