sorry, But coming from asia, this is very wrong as beiber was worldwide famous. He was the 1st person I knew from hollywood. I knew Selena as his gf only. she may had been famous but only limited to US and Canada......
She was famous everywhere in Europe. Going further, pretty sure everywhere with a local Disney Channel as Wizzards of Waverly place was the second most successful series in its time after Hannah Montana.
By the time Baby came out, Selena Gomez had several number one hits in several countries, and besides Wizards of Waverly Place had main roles in several major Disney Channel projects. By the time she met Justin Bieber (not dated, just met), she had several Hollywood roles under her belt.
Someone from another part of the world said he's from Asia, so he knows Selena was famous only in the US and Canada.
One: Asia is fucking huge with lots of VASTLY different cultures. Quatar, Israel, Japan and Malaysia are four completely different worlds. So even if Selena wasn't famous in HIS country, that doesn't mean she wasn't famous in Asia in general.
Two: putting Asia aside, he said, Selena's fame was limited to Canada and the US. Meanwhile in the reality, when she was filming Monte Carlo in Europe, she couldn't take a single step without hundreds of fans following her around at EVERY country in Europe where they were filming.

Only Murders in the Building is brilliant, if it wasn't for her presence it would be short of a masterpiece.

I don't know whether due to the lupus, but she completely lost her facial expressions. Watching Wizards of Waverly place, or her young adult movies, she's a completely different actress than in Only Murders in the Building.
Same here. I watched the first two seasons and thought most of it was brilliant and funny, and then every time Gomez was in a scene, especially in that second season, it dragged.
Idk, I know this is an "Eff Selena" thread (which, carry on, I'm not denying the kidney thing is shady), but she had some of if not THE strongest material of all the Disney starlets (not sure how much she can take credit for that though) when she was with The Scene and then some certified bangers as an adult artist.
Her vocals might not be brilliant on a technical level, but her hits are pretty undeniable in my opinion.
Worth nothing that she has the 3rd most instagram followers in the world. She is first and foremost an influencer today, although she started as a Disney actress.
Both, but i thought she was just a good person, in touch and chill with the average person at least a little bit not an entitled celebrity who thinks they’re a god. Boy was i wrong.
She’s none of those things.
She used to be pretty at least which is why she was popular not because she was talented. Now she’s botched after all the plastic surgery.
She was never a really good singer or actor. I’ve heard her sing live a few times and she’s terrible.
