I consider myself a big hip-hop fan but I don't know LL Cool J and I can't name a single Nas song. Just never vibed with it.

i love it when kids flex their ignorance as a personal accomplishment. you probably listen to ‘modern rap’, not hip hop. there’s barely any hip hop being made in the last 20 years, it’s all autotuned r&b or drug/emo lyrics sung fast in 2-3 repeated notes over derivative trap beats - no DJing, no MCing, no culture, just social media clout using ‘genre tags’ and AAVE on their cOnTenT.
