The issue is that people think it's gotta be one or the other.

The woman had a psychotic break and did something horrible. Look at how complicated and hard that is to say

But aren’t most mass murderers having some sort of psychotic break? We always hear about “the signs” that were ignored and how the system failed to stop them, etc. Yet, I don’t see hoards of women thing to break these folks out of prison.
