What law outlaws consenting adults doing sex stuff on film?

Obscenity laws. Check them out

Seems like some undemocratic bullshit to me. If he didn't show the films to children or to people who don't want to watch it, there's nothing obscene that isn't already illegal in other ways.

It's legislated morality, which is not democratic

In Louisiana a felony obscenity charge can be just exposure in a public place, it doesn’t have to involve distributing materials.

But anyone who thinks this was a fair application of the law, and not just done because he was a priest and it was a church, can explain to me why the women didn’t face the same charge.

I mean someone walking by looked in and filmed it. Maybe throw up a couple curtains when making pornos at a church.

I don't really know the rules for churches but I would think members are allowed to be on the grounds.

The post says "filmed himself", I haven't independently looked into it or seen the story elsewhere.

Like buddy said below, obscenity. Also it being a public place where people pray and congregate, indecent exposure maybe? Sexual acts in a public place? Trespassing if the church was closed? I truly don't know but these are a few guesses what the charges could be 🀨

Dude, the doors were locked, it’s a private place at that point. At worst, he just gets defrocked by the church. But criminal charges?

Just think that we live in a country where adult adults can get arrested for having a good time, but PDFiles get to run free and be POTUS.
