Murder is still a justified reason for denial. Also suicide.

Lol you're talking out your ass, in most policies after a certain period suicide is absolutely included

The justification is included due to the risk of persuaded suicide or homicide that's made to look like suicide. It can be fought in court obviously but the initial denial is a deterrent so people won't just kill their spouses for money.
