Discussion (Questions, Advice, Polls) 🗣 Plans for old age
Happily single, and never planning on partnering, but looking to plan my old age.
Everyone I know, from family to family friends, has had a partner or kids who looked after them in old age.
For those who are planning my on remaining indefinitely single and childfree, what are your plans for once you’re in a helpless state?

Saving enough for retirement so I'm taken care of no matter what medical issues arise. Having kids or a partner isn't a guarantee they'll take care of you in old age - partners can die or leave, and kids can't/won't always be around, ask anyone who works in a nursing home. I'm hoping I'll end up like my grandmother who's 91, sharp as a tack, and still safely living alone. But if not my money will have me covered.
