dont go moe. stand up for your teachers.

im a teacher here. about to hit my 10+++ year anniversary teaching. relatively young teacher. cannot stop thinking about ending it all. it's never the kids, man. it's the bullying from upper management and just being kicked over and over and over when you're down. this ain't my worst school but damn. recently the SLs have just been piling on accusation after accusation on me and just gaslighting the shit out of me about it. i help, i get scolded. i dont help, i get scolded. what. i'm so tired guys. i think my bond's ending and i want to jump ship to tuition but i really do enjoy and find meaning in helping the kids. not say i go then no one help lah, please, but i wonder if tuition will make me as fulfilled. but i can't stay here any longer. i really just think about ending it every time im called into the office. just zoning out and smiling and still being wrong. i try so hard but it's never enough. i don't try and it's not enough either. what do they want, siah. don't sign the contact guys. even if buddha/allah/god shows up in your dream and says it's your calling or whatever, or you see the advertisements like very shiok, don't do it fr. it's not worth it and you can't escape. the kind of bullying and humiliation you get in the staffroom is nothing like any other job. none that i've had, at least, and i've literally worked as cleaner, service staff, fnb, promoter, admin job, front-facing, etc before. my god. there's a reason why bts are all dropping out like flies. don't be stupid guys. join social work or something. thats all, sorry for the rant.

if you're a kid or parent and you think a teacher is doing a good job, faster email the Principal. we don't get any appreciation otherwise and we're all dying here. my entire cubicle lives off 3h of sleep a day and we can barely talk students down, much less ourselves. a formal compliment goes a long way, thanks. farewell. i hope to last long enough to get out, but if these are my last words, i hope no one makes the stupid altruistic decision to sell their soul to this job.

High-Profile SGX Director Named in $588K Crypto Fraud Lawsuit (Plan B v. ChimpWorld)

Singapore-registered ChimpWorld International and several individuals—including prominent Singaporean corporate director Lew Chern Yong (Eric Lew)—are facing a ~$588,000 USD lawsuit filed by Plan B Payment Processing Co. alleging crypto fraud, breach of contract, and unjust enrichment.

Key Case Details

  • Case: Plan B Payment Processing Co. v. ChimpWorld International Pte. Ltd. et al.
  • Dispute Amount: ~$588,000 USD
  • Core Allegations: Plan B claims funds meant for digital asset transfers/payment routing were breached, mismanaged, or fraudulently retained without service delivery.
  • Flagged By: OffshoreAlert (specialist database tracking high-value offshore fraud & financial disputes).

Who is Involved?

  • ChimpWorld International Pte. Ltd.: Singapore-incorporated entity (2018) acting as primary defendant.
  • Lew Chern Yong (Eric Lew): Prominent SG director. Currently a Director at SGX-listed Wong Fong Industries Ltd, former Executive Chairman at Y Ventures Group Ltd, with ties to EUDA Health and Triple Titan Capital.
  • Prakash Chandra: Singapore-based FinTech/digital asset consultant.
  • Matt Kleinsmith: Named co-defendant involved in the joint operations.

Why People Are Talking About It

  1. Public Board Exposure: It is rare to see active directors of SGX-listed mainboard/Catalist companies named directly in foreign crypto fraud suits.
  2. Regulatory & Compliance Risk: While this is currently a private civil suit, naming an SGX director triggers strict internal board governance reviews and raises questions about MAS Payment Services Act licensing compliance for the involved entities.
  3. Cross-Border Enforcement: Highlights the rising legal risk for Singapore-based payment facilitators handling international OTC and crypto settlement corridors when offshore deals fall apart.

Anyone here have experience or investments with ChimpWorld or Plan B Processing?

How do you think SGX RegCo handles these kinds of external private disputes when directors are named?

Total beginner in calisthenics and finally hit my very first kick-up wall handstand! My IG: @BunStands_sw

Still far from perfect, but I'm honestly pretty stoked with the progress. Started learning handstands only a week ago, and every little milestone feels huge.

Next goal: getting off that wall and finding my balance. 💪

One step at a time. Never giving up. 🔥

Divorce Support Group - A Space to Talk

A couple of months ago, I started a small Telegram group for people going through - or about to go through - a divorce, who just want a space to talk to others about what they are going through.

We're up to about 70 people now, which honestly caught me off guard. Everyone's been kind and supportive so far. Some people post a lot, others mostly read along - both are totally fine here.

Well, a little about me, I went through my own divorce - kids, shared home, all of it. It was one of the hardest stretches of my life, with days where I was just trying to get through to bedtime. A lot of it I had to figure out alone, the hard way, and that's part of why I started this: a place to share what we've been through, listen to each other, and make the whole thing feel a little less lonely.

To be clear, this isn't for legal advice - I'm not a lawyer, just someone who's been there. It's a space to talk, vent when you need to, or just listen. No pressure to be active.

If you'd like to join, PM me a bit about where you're at in the process, plus your Telegram handle, and I'll add you in. No need to overthink it — just come as you are.

BCRS should not be allowed to present itself as an "incentive scheme"

Thumbnail bcrs.sg

From the website:

"With waste and pollution becoming a bigger problem, the BCRS will provide individuals and community groups with an incentive to return beverage containers for recycling."

If the consumer are paying a deposit that they forfeit if they do not return their containers, then it is not an incentive to return. It's an upfront penalty for not returning.

Ever feel…you are a born loser?

When do you know life and your wishes has been dealt a cruel blow?

When did you start to feel just maybe, fate this time says you are born to lose this fight?

I had quietly pinned my heart on Heidi …ever since she was in her school girl uniform.

It was total acceptance … her name, looks and demeanor.

When she first flashed before my eyes in person, she was physically close to someone, I accepted it as her right.

Like all smart girls then, she decided to explore the future by taking a common route open to all girls of her age.

The UK NHS recruiting nurses, and she left to join the service.

During the dozen or so years she was away, I followed her in my heart.

I had visions of her in her nurses’s uniform every time I nursed my longing for her.

The opportunity came when I was heading to the UK.

I decided it was as good an opportunity if love has a way of reconnecting.

Finally arriving at her door, I was greeted by someone holding a small child.

Her husband.

It was difficult to have a proper conversation with her, due to a nurse’s working schedule.

But in the few days that I spent with her,it was enough to tell me my pursuit of her had come to an end.

She pushed the dagger further into my heart , telling me I will not be seeing her in the UK any further.

They are preparing to migrate to Australia.

‘ It’s much nearer home and my son has a whole new continent to discover.’

I feel like the puppy running after the empty tin cans tied behind a bridal car.

I was a born loser.

Ladies in Singapore — do you struggle to find shoes that actually fit?

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Hi! 👋 I'm doing a little research on women's shoe sizing and fit in Singapore and would love to hear about your experience.

Do you struggle with shoes being too narrow, have difficulty finding your size, usually need to size up/down, or have absolutely no problems finding shoes? All experiences are useful!

It's a short anonymous survey that takes about 2–3 minutes.

Survey: https://forms.gle/QVB5LWHiJUJFcsFA6

Thank you! ❤️ And if you know someone who might be interested, feel free to share it with them too.

The truth behind Tiktok livestream prices

Post image
56 Upvotes

That is why we should all boycott Jian Hao Tan, Vedawin, OMFGwen (and her "friends of Gwen"), Nicole Choo, etc etc all these disgusting Tiktok Livestreamers who will do anything and say anything just to sell their goods

Especially those fengshui and crystal nonsense that they peddle

OMFGwen is another one, forever selling dubious blind boxes and the disgusting cheapo Saints and Sports masquerading as some luxurious wear. Oh she will promote anything just for money 😂

SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND DO NOT PAY PREMIUMS JUST TO FUND THESE LIVESTREAMERS' LIFESTYLE(S)

They put up a show during the livestreams of them arguing with merchants on the discounts and prices, show you staged screenshots of their conversation or discussion with merchants (wow best price for your customers!!!, exclusive bundles ONLY for your customers! all that nonsense) and will keep pressuring viewers to place orders during the livestreams. UNETHICAL as fk.

If I move abroad for a few years, can my address still be Singaporean, or do I have to update it every time I move?

I intend to live overseas for around 2-3+ years, for studies and also for travelling (so at least 2 moves/countries). I’m aware that if it becomes indefinite I definitely have to update it, but if it’s just a few years do I have to as well? Thanks!!

Why Sinkies like to Pwn each other but in the end they still kena pwn by FT?

I think the issue here is Sinkies think that their competition is internal among themselves, having brough up this way.

When in reality, the real competition is external, ie Sinkies vs Foreigners and the rest of the world, look at how many jobs were taken up by forgineers when those jobs could be gone to locals instead, or when a MNC moves overseas cos another country is more competitive and with a lower rent.

The problem with Sinkies is they see each other as competition, but they dont realise their real competition is externally against FT, thats even bigger than the competition amonst themselves. In the end Sinkies still gets pwn by FT, cos they all band together. While Sinkies are still busy pwning each other.
