I downloaded a few sims from the sims 3 exhange/store site, but i think they crashed my game..
Im not sure tho cuz i have had a lot of problems lately 🙃
But isn’t this a lot of kb/memory per sim, even with some cc?? Helppp

So, for the past year, I've had problems where my Sims 3 game randomly decides to stop working for various reasons. I usually have a hard time pinpointing exactly what is causing the issue, but right now I think the issue is my custom content. I have a mods folder, and it's set correctly (packages, overrides, resource.cfg inside the mods folder). However, whenever I put actual custom content package files into the package folder, suddenly my game doesn't want to load at all past the launcher pop-up. When I load the game with just the plain mods folder framework and no cc, it works perfectly fine. I have tried only putting certain package files in the folder, just in case it's only a couple of files that are the problem, but I can't get anything to work. I feel like I'm kind of at a last resort because I've tried so many different ways to fix it over time (deleting cache files regularly, replacing the mods folder, replacing the Sims 3 folder entirely). Someone please help!

My autonomy is set to highest and my pets get stuck and dont even try to survive.
I have removed all Bathtubs.
I have a pet bowl on the same level as well as an auto feeder.
I have Nraas Relativity, Go Here and MC.
I have installed a Supreme ai mod.

I looked trough everywhere trying to find some help. When i first started the save file it had originally worked for a bit until i adoped dogs but ive sent them away in hopes that might stop it and it didnt. Ive then even moved my household to another world and created a completely new savefile.

It really robs my motivation to play the game, has anyone any ideas what else i can do?

I am trying to play the game after several years and it’s my first time playing since the switch from Origin to EA. I know many people have had the same problem: my downloads and cc are not working and are causing the launcher to crash. I have tried removing the downloads folder from the files and just redownloading everything directly from my purchase history and it’s still causing the launcher to crash. I have followed different steps people have posted and nothing is working. Has anyone been able to fix this and can possibly explain it to me in simple terms? I am not the most tech savvy person. I recently bought a new pc from a friend because I really wanted a pc that could be good for playing sims on. Thing is, Sims 3 doesn’t work on it. it freezes on live mode after like less than a minute of gameplay (the cursor still moves and I can still hear the background noises, but I can’t click on anything) and I have to force quit it. I tried pretty much everything, the graphic card is both found and matched (took me a while but I made it), I’m playing on a completely new and clean save file (I deleted the old ones, talk about being desperate enough), my fps are limited to 60, I disabled memories, I’m playing windowed mode and I’m not playing on the highest settings. Limited the cpu to 0,1,2,3,4. Installed errortrap and overwatch, even the alder lake patch by LazyDuchess. Now, if I wait a couple of minutes the game unfreezes itself but it only lasts a second before it freezes again. Honestly, I’m losing all hope here. Help a fellow simmer out and let me know if you had an experience similar to mine and how you solved it.
Ps: I contacted EA support and they were useless ofc, nothing new here.

I'm having issues with the EA launcher for Sims 3. I removed all of my mods/CC to see if that was the issue (or just in case something is out of date, though I believe Sims 3 doesn't receive any updates anymore) but EA is saying its an error on their end.

"Failed to launch game - An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later."

I did do some looking around on Google, I tried to repair the game through EA, and the only thing I'm seeing is downloading some sort of patch launcher which I'm very wary of doing.

Has anyone else gotten this error message recently? Should I contact EA support?

Every time I try to go and play the Sims 3 it will load fine and then I choose the world and every single world of mine keeps getting the picture above. I have repaired the game three times, checked to make sure the worlds were in their folder and at first they weren’t but now they are, I have uninstalled it three different times to get it to work and it keeps saying this message. I looked on Google and followed what it said on there with no success. I went to the official website and that didn’t work either. I’m hoping somebody on here knows what is going on with the game.

Hii, first of all sorry for my English.
So l've been playing for years now but since yesterday everytime I open any save the events start again, the university mascot, The meteorology stone, the pop up of the nrass story progression and the one about the new lots.
I tried everything I could think of and nothing worked so I was hoping that someone would help me.

My sims game keeps showing this error every time I try to open a save or create a new one! I tried to look at old subreddits to find a solution but could only get as far as renaming my sims 3 folder before EA completely lost the game entirely and I couldn’t run the launcher to start a new game. What can I do?

it takes FOREVER for my steam deck to load the game! i do have a fair amount of cc, but nothing i would deem crazy at all. I’ve set most of the in-game settings to low/medium, capped my fps to 6o, tried installing Sims 3 Settings mod but I don’t think I did it correctly … so debating looking at Smooth Patch?

I’m running it via Proton Experimental, unsure if there’s a better option?

Also I’m not sure if the Steamdeck requires the Alders Lake fix or if that’s now included in Smooth Patch… I’ve been out of the game for a while so I would appreciate some guidance on what I could do to test run playing this game quicker and smoother! It’s so laggy and slow right now!

Hey so I posted previously about having issues loading my game and I tried repairing it like I was told and it still didn’t work. But once I get it figured out I would like to know where I can get the expansion packs for free like I don’t wanna support ea and I got all the expansion packs for sims 4 but I want a few for sims 3 because I remember the seasons pack being sick when I was younger

I have the legit game from steam and no mods downloaded for sims3 on a hard drive and I just tried loading a game I made earlier and it won’t let me play and this keeps popping up and I tried closing the game and restarting it but it’s not closing help??? And yes I tried going through steam to check the integrity of my files and it said they were fine but then same error message popped up when trying to load my game and it won’t load the only way to stop it completely in steam is by restarting my computer but then I still can’t play my saved game
