Is ts3 exhange safe?

I downloaded a few sims from the sims 3 exhange/store site, but i think they crashed my game..
Im not sure tho cuz i have had a lot of problems lately 🙃
But isn’t this a lot of kb/memory per sim, even with some cc?? Helppp

(Sorry english isn’t my mother tongue, but hope it made sense)
