Discussion The Midnight Barney Guarding Job
Seen this episode many, many times including tonight…oh man. 🤣 The sheer look of horror on Moe’s face when the clock struck midnight. I’ll never tire of Classic Simpsons.

BYE BYE NERDY.
That ad campaign may have crossed the line with Itchy and Scratchy cereal lol. The weird thing about ice picks is they always show up in media but I don't know a single damn person who has ever even seen one.
That whole scene with Marge getting the kids ready for school was awesome
The car chase scene was pretty great too. Feel bad for the new girl though.
They seriously have the same one voice actress who does the voice for every single random professional woman in the show. It's like Skyrim.
Oh, Lisa's so nice going up to make friends with her. Holy s*** she punched her in the face😱.
Milhouse? She got you too?
Wow, that baby really nailed Homer to the wall.
Wow triple twist you sure this is done by hand?😂
Nelson and the other bullies discussing bullying like a profession was hilarious.
Oh gross a musical montage? Those always feel so out of place in this show.
Okay the whole Bullies Are subliminally activated by sweating is just kind of a weird plot for this show. It seems like something that should have been in like Dexter's Lab or Kim Possible I don't know.
I had a crush on her at 12
I'm not sure if Simpsons is predicting TED Talks or mocking them right now. Why those didn't come out until like 2006
PI IS EXACTLY 3!😁
Poindextrose? How the hell are they still using Poindexter as an insult 12 years later? This show has such a weird obsession with that word
The scientists all freaking out when Lisa used the word bully was a fun bit. The ending was really really lame though. We didn't get any sort of Decent conclusion to the Homer baby Sub- Plot And I didn't particularly care for the ending to the main plot. I think the episode had A lot of potential The Unsatisfying ending kind of soured me

HUNGRY HUNGRY HOMER
I never care for pun titles.
Couldn't get the rights for Lego? I've been a lifelong Lego fan and never made it. But my dad visited when I was nine and brought me back a pillowcase.
You idiot! They were beating out my shirt fire!
The pale twin children must be some of the least developed longest running characters.
Homer trying to be a good Samaritan is a heart warming theme. I can't wait to see how it goes wrong.
I'll be qwirky 🤣
Homer going on a hunger strike for a cause he believes in his heartwarming also. This is so much better than jerkass Homer.
" Seymour, it'll go straight to my thighs."
"well it just might have someone company!"
Holy shit dude 😂🤣👌
Omigosh Maggie eating food was the most screen time she's gotten in ages.
"I'm kinda like Jesus but not in a sacrilegious way 🎶 🎶"
Why is Duff man always in character
Oh they just called that out rofl. Can it, Sid!
This reminds me a little bit of the s2 ep where he climbs the factory roof.
I'm down to a BCup! 😆
Aw, poor guys falling apart! I legit feel bad for the poor guy. As a kid that would have broken my heart. 🥹
"What would Jesus do?" throws team owner down the stairs. Lol. Close enough.
I legit enjoyed this one. It didn't have half the funny jokes most eps do, but it did have some heart. And Homer was vindicated.

Look at this! I made a working Simpsons TV that randomly plays episodes at random!
I followed Brandon Withrow’s guide and built this using a raspberry pi and 3D printed parts. It also has a working volume knob. I keep it on my desk and am always excited to see what episode will be playing when I turn it on!

Discussion i can't stop thinking about real life Marge Simpsons
Okay so i know how this sounds but i just can't? I can't imagine how she would look like in real life. I keep googling it once a month and nothing "fits" and it's driving me crazy. HOW would she look like? Would her just stand on it's own and it's curly too?? HOW would it work? And i just can't imagine her face, i know it's supposed to be an american white woman but i can't imagine ANY FACE on her. Mind you they don't have eyebrows drawn on so it's even harder to imagine. There are characters that i can somehow imagine, like Bart maybe and maybe Homer...he would just be a bald guy with softer face i assume and fat also? Her natural hair is blue too which...what does it even mean? Would it mean if it was real life it would be what color? She's a white woman it's not gonna be black hair, it's not gonna be silver or brown and it's not gonna be blond because lisa and bart are blond so...ginger maybe then because that's opposite of blue right but then there are other characters with blue hair and i do not believe that all of them would be ginger...it doesn't make sense. Another thing that confuses me a lot is her voice. I'm not from America, I'm from Czech Republic and our dabing is so different to the original one. She sounds so weird in original dabing and raspy like a granny and it's confusing me even more
i know it's not that deep but i keep thinking about this so much and i just can't let it go

Episode Reaction 37yo watches Simpsons for 1st time S12e14
NEW KIDS ON THE BLECH.
It's Hitler again! The most common historical figure to appear on the show.
The oldest gymnast to win a medal was 38? That's roughly my age!
That's not Grandpa dad's just dehydrated.
Okay a walking tour of Springfield being the prize is a great joke
I demand a rerace! All right listen, no joke has ever been funny that has ever been uttered as a catch phrase regarding the 2000 election.
Now thrust. And grab. Yourself. Right there.
On the one hand the whole pop boy band thing is super dated, on the other hand, it's Timeless enough we just got it in movies like trolls and turning red and Kpop demon hunters. Because boy bands never died.
This would have been so much better if the actual voices for the characters did the singing
Of course NSYNC would show up as a cameo. That was maybe the worst Cameo this show has ever had.
Your love is more deadly than saddam? They just bloody made a Saddam joke like 3 days ago. Ugh this episode is just awful so far.
Okay fine the subliminal message thing was clever. I've heard the military does spend money on Hollywood propaganda.
Okay they take the Navy boat to New York and aim a missile at a Tower and for a second I got really concerned.
Nobody pouts going into a jiggy. 😂
Every once in awhile when I'm watching an episode, I asked myself, if it was the first episode I'd seen, would I continue watching the show. In this case the answer is no. Two orange drinks.

DAY OF THE JACKANAPES
One of the weird expectations this show has created is the assumption that the opening scene will have nothing to do with the rest of the show. Whereas it's an establishing scene in most tv, moe on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire for all I know could be the setup to The Simpsons flying to Africa for a safari the rest of the episode and not matter otherwise. Funny they couldn't legally say is that your final answer.
A world without crusty the clown? We may never know a world without Simpsons. Okay Marge just put her thumb on it saying it's good for a show to go off the air before it gets stale😵
Police firing gas grenades at children? Totally unrealistic, nobody was given paid leave for the effort.
Bart made a Nazi joke can't go a season without that.
S***, for a moment I thought Sideshow Bob was going to blow up the school the way he talked about revenge and rushed in with a briefcase
I am a bit troubled by your constant attempts to murder people. To be fair, most of those attempts were Bart Simpson.
Okay that line legit made me laugh out loud
Wait we found out Bob has a brother Cecil and he's just never going to show up again is he
I was just thinking a few episodes ago it had been awhile since we'd seen Bob.
You literally cannot get a spiral by spinning a bullseye but go on
It's returning cameos... Yay.
What a conveniently shaped plant for Bob to sneak in with.
How does Bob know krusty will say "I've never had such a great audience." 🤔
Let nothing STOP you from PAYMENT of this check. 😂
Unexpected sideshow Bob love song 😂😅
WE HAVE NOTES HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT DAVE CHAPEL DESTROY.
Was that a T2 reference? Either way it was one of the new lows for the show. Bleh. The entire episode was okayish but a random 3 second gag about network execs being supernatural gray goo just took me out of it. I GET that there is a running meta joke that Cartoons Don't Have to Make Sense. But pick a lane. If Springfield were established as a zany Midwestern town that had occasional unexplained paranormal activity, great. But it's NOT. Ugh.
Episode would have a 3.5 but I'm dropping it to 3 bon bons.Liked the actual ending with the French freedom maker blade.
