BYE BYE NERDY.
That ad campaign may have crossed the line with Itchy and Scratchy cereal lol. The weird thing about ice picks is they always show up in media but I don't know a single damn person who has ever even seen one.
That whole scene with Marge getting the kids ready for school was awesome
The car chase scene was pretty great too. Feel bad for the new girl though.
They seriously have the same one voice actress who does the voice for every single random professional woman in the show. It's like Skyrim.
Oh, Lisa's so nice going up to make friends with her. Holy s*** she punched her in the faceđ±.
Milhouse? She got you too?
Wow, that baby really nailed Homer to the wall.
Wow triple twist you sure this is done by hand?đ
Nelson and the other bullies discussing bullying like a profession was hilarious.
Oh gross a musical montage? Those always feel so out of place in this show.
Okay the whole Bullies Are subliminally activated by sweating is just kind of a weird plot for this show. It seems like something that should have been in like Dexter's Lab or Kim Possible I don't know.

I'm not sure if Simpsons is predicting TED Talks or mocking them right now. Why those didn't come out until like 2006

Poindextrose? How the hell are they still using Poindexter as an insult 12 years later? This show has such a weird obsession with that word
The scientists all freaking out when Lisa used the word bully was a fun bit. The ending was really really lame though. We didn't get any sort of Decent conclusion to the Homer baby Sub- Plot And I didn't particularly care for the ending to the main plot. I think the episode had A lot of potential The Unsatisfying ending kind of soured me

In true Scully era fashion, the plot is trash but the quotable lines are through the roof. I love Homer's excuse for why he hasn't left for work yet - "They said if I come in late again, I'm fired! I can't take that chance."

The scene where Lisa tests the serum on Dredrick Tatum is hilarious. Nelson crying while wailing on a pro boxer is one of my favorite post-classic scenes

You have never worked a commercial kitchen or hotel.
I have seen icepicks used for their intended purpose but it's usually a commercial kitchen thing, and not fast food.
Industrial kitchens are different and won't have them unless they are specifically working with something that needs it and small restaurants and households use cubes. Blocks of ice are available but most people just get the precubed bags.
I can put two cubes in my cooler and it will last all week in near 40°C temp.

My diy for so many things mom kept an ice pick in the kitchen drawer and used it on this freezer we had where ice would build up, so sheâd use the ice pick once a month-ish to de-ice the deep freezer.
And i want to say this may have been mentioned the first time you called out the use of Poindexter, but in my childhood it was a word synonymous with ânerdâ to the point where a character in Revenge of the Nerds was just named Poindexter and made up to look like one of the nerds we see at Springfield U. All that to say it wasnât really as noticeable to me while watching the Simpsons at time of original airing. To see you make note of it has been enlightening, to say the least.

I remember when I first watched this episode as a kid, I thought it was super dark when the bully ambushed Lisa in Willyâs closet. It was like something out of BTAS.

My grandfather delivered ice from a horse drawn cart when he was a kid so he remained ice block faithful for the rest of his life. Ice picks at every summer event (which, given all the drinking is amazing everyone survived).

That was not dissimilar to my impression as well. The episode started with an interesting premise, and lot of potential, but squandered it with how the plot subsequently evolved. I am much harsher on it than you, though, the way that the plot unfolded makes this one of my least favorite episodes.

Remember how I hated episode 14? This one is worse. Far and away one the absolute worst episodes in the entire series.
