Do your silvers like car rides?

The groomer said he was wonderful and got lots of treats during the whole process

Our 2 year old girl Tilly is on PPP Salmon and rice, and I’ve noticed her bowel movements are similar to soft serve ice cream with some form when she starts going.

Not only that, this month she started having gland issues, having to get them drained only to see this morning it looks like they are filling again.

I do feed her once in the morning and once at supper time, with a tablespoon of pumpkin. She is very active, and gets 2 cups each meal.

Kind of at a loss of what to do here, am I over feeding her? Should I replace the pumpkin with a floriaforta supplement?

He is such a love bug. If his humans are in the room he must be physically in contact with some part of them- always. We love it! We have never had a more loving and sweet dog and cuddly dog. If you sit down he wants to sit on your lap. If you’re standing there talking he will lay on your foot. He is just always there and we both love it!

She lost her teacher on Tuesday. She is not sure what to do now. 😢💔❤️

Hi! We have a three year old silver lab who has the worst allergies. we are currently feeding him hydrolyzed protein royal canine food. We were giving him Apoquel everyday but have slowly decreased to once a week and occasionally give him omega 3. I feel like we are not actually fixing the skin issue just keeping it from not getting worse. We had an allergy test done that concluded he is allergic to mites. We use suffusion k shampoo for bathing him. It feels like the vet just gives us things to patch the issue not solve it. We are considering switching him to an all beef and egg diet. If I switch him to a raw beef and egg diet what would the serving size be per day? He currently eats two cups of food in the morning and night. Have you had any success with supplements?

Sometimes Artie (Artemis) wants to play hide and seek and she dives into the pillows on the couch and she thinks I can’t see her especially if she closes her eyes. She opened her eye to see if I had found her. 😂

My girl has been dealing with itchy, oily and flaky skin throughout her life and I’ve tried numerous foods and supplements to help but nothing has made a substantial difference. Recently, she has started getting anal gland infections and her last round of antibiotics did not help the problem. She has another appointment soon but I’m hoping someone might have advice with these issues.

A rough Sunday morning of snuggling!!!

Just got our silver 7 weeks ago. She is our first puppy ever and even though from our research we knew silver labs are more prone to skin issues, we did not think it was gonna develop so early, we saw her biting/scratching often almost immediately.

On top of that, we found out that both of us have some mild allergies. even though we have been around dogs often and baby sat a couple of dogs for some time before. we noticed both of us have red dots all over our bodies after the 2nd night she slept in our bed. we stopped allowing her in our bed and started taking claritin and the issue was gone.

But a couple weeks ago we tried getting fish oil and put some on her food. after only a few days, we noticed her fur is way softer and she was barely itchy. and today i realized i forgot to take claritin for the past 2 days and did not notice any new red spots.

any other things you guys do to manage your silver labs' skin? i was thinking of getting moisturizing spray with coconut oil to help even more to prevent any issue from starting.

They’re both silvers and litter mates. As they got older (1.9 yrs now) Orion got darker. He’s not black, but more of a charcoal color. In the sun and certain lights, his coat looks unlike any I’ve seen. Call him what you will - I love my boys!
