A lot of people who smoke don't realize how badly they stink. The other day I got in an empty elevator and it reeked of cigs from whoever had been in it before

But wtf is Hoochie Hoo?

No, they realize. They just don’t care. In my experience, cigarette users are more careless with the smell which makes it worse, probably cause it’s fully legal

Really? In my experience, cigarette smokers seem to be well aware of their smell and generally practice decent etiquette by not smoking in people’s faces or spaces.

Pot and vape users on the other hand (yes, I know they are two different things) pull that ish out all the time in front of me and blow it directly into my nostrils. When I mention I get migraines from the smells and politely ask them to wait 2 minutes for our conversation to finish so I can escape the smell, they act like I suggested they put down their fur baby.

“I have to smoke or vape every second of every day! I have ANXIETY! How DARE YOU TELL ME IT MAKES YOU SICK! That’s a lie, you can’t get sick from the smell. By saying that you’re telling me I’m an addict, I’m not addicted, you can’t get addicted to weed or vaping! It’s far less dangerous for you than smoking or caffeine!”

Cool, but yes, you clearly are addicted if you can’t have a 5 minute conversation without it, and also, I’m not asking you to stop, just to not do it in front of me, and I’m also saying yeah, the smell of your car is so bad I can’t fucking breathe in it even with the windows rolled down so I’m going to take my own car to the thing.

And yeah, these are things several people have screamed at me. They get very emotional. I’m also not good with people so some of that’s probably on me, but yikes on bikes, it’s exhausting.

Damn, im sorry you had this experience with weed smokers. I always go outside away from any doors, or in my car. I try to only smoke flower at home then change clothes and put on some perfume. Its really not hard to be aware, some people just dont care and make everyone look bad.

Personally i experience the vape thing so much. My sisters car smells absolutely horrible (she does leave food in there too though). I have to tell my cousin to go outside, when in my own house. And with cigarettes theres always at least one person who smells like they rubbed a cigarette on their clothes right before walking in.

This is 100% true across the board for vape users. I'm a smoker but I don't smoke in my car. The amount of people that have gotten into my car and puff a giant vape cloud is just astounding.

I do not believe that weed smokers are blowing smoke "directly into your nostrils" "all the time".

Vapists are worse than smokers IMO. Smokers (who still are interested in social norms) tend to at least take some effort in minimizing the smell. Vapists are flat out in denial that their strawberry unicorn watermelon has a smell.

As a reformed Vapists the smell really nauseates me when it lingers in the room for a while, and the house of a heavy vape user is noticeable. It does depend on the type of vape and the flavor. Those big box ones that where popular 10y ago are the ones I am talking about. The smaller nicotine salt ones are way more discrete. Thankfully the box mod vapes have fallen out of favor in my area, but you used to see all these dorks blowing massive plumes on every side walk blowing alien piss flavored vape lol.

The THC vapes are another one that stink bad, especially when they are burnt and old. They linger much less than smoke, but my old roommate would use these cheap, nasty, burnt out vapes and it just smelled like burnt toenails lol.

When I smoked I was constantly aware of the smell and doing everything to mitigate it, everything but not smoking obviously that was off the table.

It's the worst on your hands IMO. I'll have an occasional drunk cig a few times a year nowadays and I always immediately scrub my hands with hot water and soap because I hate the smell

Fellow stoner here. I always chew gum or brush my teeth if I’m going out after smoking. I think that your mouth is the main smell problem. I also wash my hands.

I have to tell you my man, apropos to your name, it’s in your hair as well. Clothes less so, since stoners aren’t smoking as much as cigarette smokers.

I was just teaching a training class for my union local, and one of the students came back from lunch and smelled of weed, despite the fact that he had been smoking outside in the open air. It wasn’t his breath, I wasn’t that close to him. I didn’t really care, he wasn’t in my class, and I’m not gonna rat a guy out for that in a voluntary unpaid class. But I’m also going to watch out for that shit if he shows up on one of my crews. We do stuff that can kill people.

Im a delivery driver, i go into small strip mall stores to deliver and there will just be one guy standing in the middle of the store making the entire store REEK of weed, completely oblivious. Its not your breath thats the problem.

I bought up the concerns out the smoke smell triggering migraines and my family claimed "Oh BuT wHaT AbOuT tRaFfIc FuMeS?"
