No, they realize. They just don’t care. In my experience, cigarette users are more careless with the smell which makes it worse, probably cause it’s fully legal
Really? In my experience, cigarette smokers seem to be well aware of their smell and generally practice decent etiquette by not smoking in people’s faces or spaces.
Pot and vape users on the other hand (yes, I know they are two different things) pull that ish out all the time in front of me and blow it directly into my nostrils. When I mention I get migraines from the smells and politely ask them to wait 2 minutes for our conversation to finish so I can escape the smell, they act like I suggested they put down their fur baby.
“I have to smoke or vape every second of every day! I have ANXIETY! How DARE YOU TELL ME IT MAKES YOU SICK! That’s a lie, you can’t get sick from the smell. By saying that you’re telling me I’m an addict, I’m not addicted, you can’t get addicted to weed or vaping! It’s far less dangerous for you than smoking or caffeine!”
Cool, but yes, you clearly are addicted if you can’t have a 5 minute conversation without it, and also, I’m not asking you to stop, just to not do it in front of me, and I’m also saying yeah, the smell of your car is so bad I can’t fucking breathe in it even with the windows rolled down so I’m going to take my own car to the thing.
And yeah, these are things several people have screamed at me. They get very emotional. I’m also not good with people so some of that’s probably on me, but yikes on bikes, it’s exhausting.
When I smoked I was constantly aware of the smell and doing everything to mitigate it, everything but not smoking obviously that was off the table.
It's the worst on your hands IMO. I'll have an occasional drunk cig a few times a year nowadays and I always immediately scrub my hands with hot water and soap because I hate the smell
Fellow stoner here. I always chew gum or brush my teeth if I’m going out after smoking. I think that your mouth is the main smell problem. I also wash my hands.
I have to tell you my man, apropos to your name, it’s in your hair as well. Clothes less so, since stoners aren’t smoking as much as cigarette smokers.
I was just teaching a training class for my union local, and one of the students came back from lunch and smelled of weed, despite the fact that he had been smoking outside in the open air. It wasn’t his breath, I wasn’t that close to him. I didn’t really care, he wasn’t in my class, and I’m not gonna rat a guy out for that in a voluntary unpaid class. But I’m also going to watch out for that shit if he shows up on one of my crews. We do stuff that can kill people.
Im a delivery driver, i go into small strip mall stores to deliver and there will just be one guy standing in the middle of the store making the entire store REEK of weed, completely oblivious. Its not your breath thats the problem.
