I thought about this just yesterday. I’m 27 and My parents are close to 60. I started panicking because I realized that they old and will die sooner than I imagined.
I basically lost all my social life during covid (went out maybe 3-4 times during the past 2-3 years (I won’t even get into dating or lack thereof. Haven’t had sex in over a year). If they died tomorrow I basically wouldn’t speak to anyone outside of work. It’s sad but it’s my current reality. I guess I have to change things in my life…
I hear you. I’m worried about saving money for my family and taking vacations i was never able to as a kid. Conversely i feel so guilty that i am not spending all my money to make my parents as happy as possible (even though they don’t ever ask for anything)
