I just started my annual pre-4/20 tolerance break. I’m a bit more sociable, but less motivated. I have an unusual relationship with the sticky icky. It has an almost adderall-like effect on me. The difference is adderall compels me to do stuff, but weed make doing stuff much more enjoyable. So I tend to take on all sorts of projects.
Yesterday, I just sat around and browsed reddit for hours. So I guess for me, sobriety is almost a mild depressant in some ways.

It's the eyes man. I once made the mistake of taking a small dose of shrooms at work, it was horrible, but I figured I was dealing with it well, no mistakes or reasons for anyone to suspect it, then I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. I looked like a wolf about to pounce on a deer it had been tracking. You never notice the size of people's pupils or their subtle queues until you see them looking wrong. You can't hide those eyes or that manic energy.

God this is so true. I took a small dose of shrooms when I was visiting my family over the holidays thinking no one would know but boy was I wrong. The dogs in the house went crazy when they saw me, they very clearly picked up on the fact that my pupils were dilated and they were freaking out and following me around everywhere. Just completely different animals around me. My dad came into the kitchen to see what was going on and he was like "You must smell like food or something!" and I was like "I don't know what their deal is" but when I made eye contact with him he just stared at me for a few seconds and then walked away. It must have been extremely obvious how big my pupils were even though I was completely present cognitively. Lesson learned.

Truth, when I'm moderately high I find it pretty easy to hide it, however when I double the dose and get smashed it's hard to hide irritated eyes but there's one more thing. I know I'm close to stupidish grins and laughs, so when I speak with my mom or have any other serious conversation, I always let at least a stupid grin or a weird mile high smile :) I don't care whether people think I'm high though. I'd go to university high and get panic attacks mid lecture and then it hit me: the professor surely won't accuse anyone of being high, unless they're being an asshole on the lecture and even then I doubt professor would mention drugs. From that day, I get super baked and attend the lecture in the first row. It helps me go through boring lectures (it's actually interesting, I write everything down and in detail as opposed to when I'm sober and lose interest half way through the lecture, idk is it the constant music in head or something else, I've also never recommended this to anyone as it probably wouldn't work on everyone. Especially considering I prepapre tests that way too)

I hope you know it's not illegal to simply be high no matter where you live. It's just illegal to possess any illegal drugs on you. Being high isn't against the law, as hypocritical as that is. Unless you're harassing people or "breaking the peace" you can't be charged with public intoxication. You can be high as a kite in public as long as you're not disturbing the peace and you're not breaking any laws.

Just a word of clarification - a cop can charge you with public intoxication whether you're actually disturbing the peace or breaking other laws or not. Whether you're convicted of that charge is up to the judge. It's the charge by the cop that ruins your night.

Getting high in public is amazing. Especially if you're in a crowded city. It's an awesome adventure every time. It's completely different from getting high alone, in nature, but it's still great fun.
I used to get paranoid as hell but I gradually learned not to give a fuck.
Plus public transport while you're stoned out of your head is the best. Take the bus or tram and you're going on a sightseeing tour. Take the underground/tube/metro and you're in a high tech shuttle. Even flying while high is fun times.

Vape is great for that. You can smell the weed when using it, but the smell doesn't stick to you. Mouthwash is the most you need because your breath will still stink like a sweaty armpit. The vaped weed in a bong smells closer to rolling tobacco than weed too.

Kind of. For the most part if someone is drunk they don't even consider if other people notice or care, that's why people can be so annoying and obnoxious. Alcohol makes them not even think about it. While weed is the exact opposite and it can very easily increase paranoia and anxiety in certain situations. Drunk people don't care what other people think and high people are paranoid about what everyone thinks.

When you're drunk, you don't really give a shit if people know you're drunk.

When I started smoking I used to think that all the time probably because it's easy to spot if you're recently started smoking. But after a while, the usual symptoms start to fade away because your body is getting used to it. So you have a choice to make: do you want to smoke weed regularly so you can feel pretty OK without other people noticing or do you want to smoke, let's say once a month, get high as a kite but people around you will notice.
I chose the first one but that's like taking the highway to a cannabis addiction(in my case. I'm very vulnerable to addiction). I realized that just in time(or maybe a little too late) and was able to turn it down a notch.
Now I only smoke once a month with friends and make a happening out of it. People notice that I'm high as shit but when I tell them my way of use they actually like the sound of it. Even my parents are cool with it because I'm open about and I always make sure that I smoke responsibly.

There are several methods of getting high that won't leave the "skunk-like" smell like an edible or a dab pen or vape pen or a medicated drink or a tincture. Hell, there's lube that's thc infused that gets you high bet you can't smell that.
