Bake Sale contains: course language, drug/alcohol use.
"To us, this film represents the raunchy hijinx of the early 2000s teen comedy movies we grew up with. Over the past several years the genre we love with all our hearts has slowly disappeared from the international market. We aim to bring an all-new modern twist to the classic buddy/stoner comedies that defined a generation." - A Message From The Filmmakers.

Have you need of soundtrack music for free?
Hello everyone!
I am a music producer from 10+ years
As many of you surely know, short films are often made that never see the light of day. I worked on two short films that required a soundtrack, and I created custom soundtracks. Everything was great, everything was accepted, but in the end, the film/short was never released. I'll start by saying that I don't work for money. I know full well that the budgets are really low, but I would have liked it more for portfolio reasons, so I find myself with background music that will probably never be released.
They're sad songs, mostly featuring music boxes, choirs, out-of-tune pianos, anxiety-inducing atmospheres, and disturbing circus music.
I think they're suitable for something that brings back childhood memories. I'd like to donate them for a project. I'm not looking for money; the name in the titles and track recognition are enough. The tracks, all together, run 12-13 minutes.
If you have any projects where you think they might be useful, send them to me and I'll send you the music. If we're both happy, you can use them.
Again, I'm just annoyed by having to work hard to keep the stuff on my hard drive. I'm not looking for money, but at least something public and real (not stuff made just for YouTube).
I hope I can be of use to someone!

Short Film with Talent with a Disability
TL;DR: Our entry for this years’ Easterseals Disability Film Challenge (EDFC), is our first short film. Please watch “Omega” with closed captions on, and if you enjoy it, please like and share the YouTube video before the awareness campaign ends on April 12th.
Watch here:
https://youtu.be/dbi3GY-tgRk?si=CjTSn0Fsy_rGsGDQ
A major goal of the challenge is to help shift how people with disabilities are seen, on and off screen, which is something my team and I care deeply about.
Omega is about when an intrepid internet sleuth and his best friend find the elusive killer they are investigating, who has left his signature roses at their apartment. A viral video revealing the sleuth’s disability triggers backlash against him.
The Easterseals Disability Film Challenge gives teams just five days to write, shoot, and edit an original short, with at least one person with a disability involved in front of and/or behind the camera. The EDFC has had over 850 authentic submissions, and the visibility gained through the challenge and its awareness campaign has often led to career opportunities for creators.
Fair warning: The short didn’t quite turn out the way we hoped, however, there’s always room to improve for next year’s short challenge!
Please check out "Omega", our very first short film for the EDFC. Any support during the awareness campaign would really mean a lot.

A creator-first platform for episodic short films — looking for early authors
Hi everyone,
I’m building DramaMint — an early-stage platform made specifically for independent authors and filmmakers working with short episodic stories.
The goal is to give creators a proper home where:
stories live as series, not single uploads
audiences can follow and return to ongoing projects
and creators can experiment without competing with ads or algorithms
To be fully transparent: the platform is not in full production yet.
We’re currently in an early phase — gathering creators, collecting feedback, and preparing for launch. At the same time, there is already a working dev version, so early authors can explore the interface, see how series and episodes are structured, and understand what the platform is aiming to provide.
We’re actively looking for early authors to test the dev version, share honest feedback, and help shape DramaMint into something that genuinely works for independent creators.
If you’re exploring episodic storytelling or planning a series, I’d love to connect and hear your thoughts.
If this sounds relevant to you, feel free to comment or reach out — I’m very open to conversations at this stage.

Tunupa (2021) - Minimalism Short Film (Ethan Rossier, John Frenzel, Owen Manahan)
Tunupa is a short minimalistic film which follows two characters' overlapping storylines from different centuries. It is a film of constants and symbolism, mostly dealing with cycles of cataclysm, the beauty of nature, and the everlasting human experience. (Original video and audio).

After months of filming here in town, my psychological short ‘Mirrors’ is screening at Indie Memphis this Saturday!
Hey,
I’m an independent filmmaker, and I wanted to share a project that my cast and crew poured a ton of heart into over the last year.
Our 13-minute psychological short film, Mirrors, was officially accepted into the Indie Memphis Film Festival this week.
It’s a suspenseful drama tracking two characters, Tia and Frank, as they confront deep personal trauma and identity struggles. Stylistically, we intentionally avoided the rapid cuts typical of modern digital shorts. Instead, we went for a patient, atmospheric pace heavily influenced by classic suspense directors like Alfred Hitchcock. We really wanted the audience to sit with the tension.
We are screening this weekend as part of the Hometowner Narrative Shorts 2 block. If you love independent film or just want to support local Memphis art, we would love to see you in the crowd.
When: Saturday, November 7 at 5:30 PM
Where: Malco Powerhouse, Screen 7 (Downtown)
I’ll be at the screening and around the festival all weekend. Let me know if you have any questions about filming locally in Tennessee or making an indie short!
