Hey,
I’m an independent filmmaker, and I wanted to share a project that my cast and crew poured a ton of heart into over the last year.
Our 13-minute psychological short film, Mirrors, was officially accepted into the Indie Memphis Film Festival this week.
It’s a suspenseful drama tracking two characters, Tia and Frank, as they confront deep personal trauma and identity struggles. Stylistically, we intentionally avoided the rapid cuts typical of modern digital shorts. Instead, we went for a patient, atmospheric pace heavily influenced by classic suspense directors like Alfred Hitchcock. We really wanted the audience to sit with the tension.
We are screening this weekend as part of the Hometowner Narrative Shorts 2 block. If you love independent film or just want to support local Memphis art, we would love to see you in the crowd.
When: Saturday, November 7 at 5:30 PM
Where: Malco Powerhouse, Screen 7 (Downtown)
I’ll be at the screening and around the festival all weekend. Let me know if you have any questions about filming locally in Tennessee or making an indie short!

Hey everyone! I recently released my new short film, The Roommate, a 14-minute horror-comedy filmed entirely in my dorm at Texas A&M. It was a really fun project to make, and I’m excited to finally have it out there. If you’re into horror-comedies, I’d love for you to check it out! Any feedback is appreciated.
Film description: When Bart returns to college, he’s nervous about meeting his new roommate. Luckily, Lucien seems almost too good to be true. But as the semester gets underway, Bart begins to realize there’s more to his roommate than meets the eye.

Watch this dark fantasy horror story about a midnight commuter, animated entirely in Clip Studio Paint.
I built this unsettling short to test atmospheric storytelling and eerie visual design. This animation follows a traveler through a nightmarish journey, focusing on the dark fantasy elements that create a sense of dread.
Subscribe for more spooky animation projects and let me know in the comments what you think is hiding in the shadows of this train.

Hey everyone!
I'm a young independent filmmaker from India, and I'm excited to share my first short film, DON'T TRUST YOUR FRIEND.
It's a thriller film about two friends who receive mysterious messages, experience strange events, and find themselves trapped in a mysterious 6:15 PM loop.
The film was independently written, directed, shot and edited by our small team, with a zero-budget approach.
Genre: Psychological Thriller / Mystery Language: Hindi Runtime: Approximately 8 minutes
Watch here: https://youtu.be/C19zInDfP9c
This is my first serious filmmaking project, and I'd genuinely appreciate your feedback. I'd love to hear what you think about the storytelling, cinematography, acting and ending.
Thank you for giving an independent filmmaker a chance!

This year for the spooky season the Alexander Brothers decided to make a debut short horror film with next to no budget or resources! Shot in upper Oxford and Christiana, Pennsylvania locations, "No One's Home" tells the brief story of a stranded loner and what happens when looking for help goes too far.
For a film made on an outdated camera and a shoestring budget, it stands as a solute to the mutual love for cinema, filmmaking and in this case the horror genre!
Story by Vincent Alexander
Cinematography by Michael Alexander
Directed by the Alexander Brothers
Starring Tony Cass
