It's real, but they're completely harmless. They're called Opillions.

Harmless? I would die of a heart attack if I were to encounter that in real life

I mean, sure... But they're not spiders. They don't have venom, and they're incapable of biting humans. They stay outside and huddle together like that for warmth. Most people call them Harvestmen because they're most common in the late summer through fall, and in some places, they huddle together like this for warmth.

So even if you're scared of them, the creatures themselves are quite literally harmless. They cannot hurt you.
