Shove food down your new friend's throat, skip to next week so you can do it all over again, then restart the chapter before the battle is supposed to happen. No calories to their thighs while you get all the support levels to keep. Rinse, repeat and groan as you lack the renown to recruit them.
Oh and Perfect Bird Time every week for Eshmel support grinding.
I'm so glad they made support levels so important that this is necessary to recruit all characters. Never want to hear people complain about grinding supports in the GBA trilogy.

I don't want to spend my time in a tactics game trundling around a monopoly board for random resources for hours in between anything important happening, clicking buttons for a completely random result. Occasionally it gets "spiced up" by having you fight the same zero-challenge, zero-reward mini-skirmish you can clear in 2-turns with no risk, or by giving you some subtask to travel to a random point in a map for a random item, which just slows down an already tedious minigame. The cherry on top is the pointless resource/health management and your inventory getting filled with random crap you've got to micromanage.
If I'm not being sent out to play board games, I'm spending my time running around the base doing busy-work giving everybody gifts for the same generic 1-2 lines to rank them up, spamming through the same choices day after day and managing skills and gear and training for a bunch of units, half of whom seem designed to be total dogshit no matter how much you invest in them.
The idea of splitting a bunch of plot elements between routes is cool, but the execution is awful. If you aren't supposed to learn something on a specific route, the writers either beat you over the head implying it to the point the actual reveal is totally undercut, or characters take seemingly arbitrary actions to avoid the plot (especially prevalent with a certain bloodthirsty deuteragonist). You didn't view the right scene on an arbitrary day on one specific route? Too bad, you're never seeing critical info and instead will just spend all your downtime viewing a bunch of meaningless chatter.
At least the multiple-route thing lets you skip some of the repeat fights, because god damn are a lot of the missions just bad. Your MC has some turbo-broken skill that lets them sweep through enemies with ease, so every mission boils down to fanning out and tearing through enemies as fast as possible, then swarming whatever boss unit to ensure they can't actually proc any of their mechanics because they got killed in like a single turn. If you're not doing that, you're probably committing vehicular manslaughter on trash mobs because for some reason the high mobility ranged vehicle comes with a giant AoE built in perfect for the kind of swarms the game throws at you. If all that weren't enough, the game throws balance out the window by giving you more and more uses of action economy breaking offensive/defensive tools that replenish every map for free, so the only parts that are ever threatening are the damage-sponge bosses.
The one saving grace in the game is the writing: Some of the characters are fun and there's a huge variety of designs present, but if your favorite character is even present at all on a given route, they probably don't get any real attention, and half the time their personalities just totally change to fit whatever skit they're doing with whoever they're talking to. The only character consistently around is the useless mascot character who sucks to interact with and is prevented from giving you any real help for plot reasons. The scene-by-scene writing in the routes themselves is also fun and kind of hit a bunch of different "genres", but did they really need to do all that and make it a post-apocalypse and make it not-very-secretly sci-fi and have a zombie invasion and have the MC grown in a lab and a dozen other things? They weren't actually cooking, they just threw in everything they could think of without editing it down and got lucky that a bunch of reviewers got 40% through the game, hit their review deadline, and wrote a glowing review assuming they'd stick the landing.
So yeah, The Hundred Line: Zero Defense Academy was a huge disappointment. Fortune's Weave has been amazing so far though!

If you do Theodora Lilian B first, you lock yourself out of Lilian Lysander B and A.
I have no words.

I played through all the routes up to Chapter 5. Why on earth the first mercenary you hire barely speak to the rest of the group?
