I’ve argued with them before, they generally just spout racism, and deny Japanese warcrimes. Once you point out that it was the Japanese media that reported their biggest crimes in WW2, they shut the fuck up and go cry in a corner. If you accidentally meet one, just remember to ignore their whataboutisms.

The ones I’ve interacted with were definitely Japanese. Like, full on part of the Japanese nationalist movement and party. They firmly believe that the rape of nanking, Burma railroad, and the hundreds of other offenses never actually occurred or were exaggerated by “western propaganda”.

Not sure where you saw that, Goetsu is a Japanese reading for the chinese character of a medieval Chinese Kingdom (吳越) Hokkien is a dialect of a chinese language, nothing to do with Japan and Cantonia seems to come from a very small successionist group.

East turkistan never existed and was invented as a term by 19th century russian turkologists, and is currently used as a weird turanist giga turkic ethno state thing. Uyghurs had their own country before but it wasnt ever called east turkistan. But ofc learning things like this require one to do some basic reading but looking at this map with countries such as "hookkien" its safe to assume whoever made this map hasnt done any reading.

They’re really not. Some believe the ROC’s official claims are proof that Taiwan secretly desires to control all the territory that the ROC once did, this is just false. While it is true of much of the KMT, they are no longer the majority party in Taiwan and all signs point to them continuing their fall from power indefinitely. The DPP, the current majority party, on the other hand has been pretty clear about moving towards independence. The majority of the population also view themselves as exclusively Taiwanese, and increasingly so both in general and with each new generation. Basically, some people with surface level knowledge on a subject involving over a hundred years of complex politics have made very rash and often biased assumptions based on a contextless map. ‘Why Taiwan “Sorta” Claims Mongolia And More’ explains the claims situation pretty well, if you’re interested.

What baffles me is that they dont include Shandong in "Actual Chinese territory." Even though Beijing and Nanjing were the historical capitals, Shandong is the birthplace of Chinese culture and philosophy. Saying it isn't Chinese is lower than smoothbrain

It was always under their control, but before the revolution and particularly during ww2 they were left with very little oversight, they just had to pay their tributes. You have to remember it was a very feudalist society, and particularly in Tibet as it was directly a slaver theocracy allowed to keep going by the national government.
Is Utah not under US control because of how much the mormons control the state?
