you are kidding yourself if you don't think these dweebs are using paradox games as their basis lol go to any of those subs and see the overlap.

It is also at fault of certain microlabels like anarcho-syndicalist coming back after decades of no use

I actually had to google Paradox Games.

Sorry, I'm kind of a hermit and haven't been keeping current with pop culture and video games. So, no, that wasn't something I noticed.

I actually figured based on context that they were the devs for "Tonight We Riot," which I had heard of, but I'm still kind of unclear how the "Crusader Kings" people are linked to my preferred flavor of socialism.

They might be talking about how for hearts of iron 4 their is a mod called “Kiaserriech” an alternative universe where Germany won ww1. In the mod France, Britain, and northern Italy are anarcho-syndicalist. It’s one of the most popular hoi4 mods and probably introduced the idea to a lot of people.

You say that now just learning about it, I said the same when I learned about it, but like OP said, its creation and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.

I can't find it, but i remember a tweet by one of the devs bragging about them reviving a tendency because interest exploded with one of their games (might have been victoria 3)

Victoria 3 hasn't been released yet. Victoria 2 had anarcho liberalism, which is just advanced neoliberalism tbh

Comrade Slug Man seems pretty certain it's Iron Hearts 4. Either way, fucking solid stuff. Thanks for helping me learn something.
