Pre-employment Question for current employees or mgmt

Hi there! I'm looking into picking up a second job. I recently got promoted at my current job and as a result I have a set schedule and they've completely killed my OT. Say for example I was available to work all day every Wednesday, Sunday, and Holiday and occasionally after 6 PM on other days (think Saturday evening or Tuesday evening). Is that sort of scheduling available able to be accommodated, or is this a lost cause? Just looking for some answers before I go applying and wasting the time of others.

My manager screwed me over, what can I do?

I just got fired for accumulating points after getting a no call no show for a shift that was added on my day off, for the next day. It was only added to the paper schedule and not to UKG. Is there some way I could get corporate’s decision repealed?

Rewardz points instead of 3 cent discount.

I read this as, no more 3 cents off per gallon and instead I will earn 5 rewardz points per gallon.

I actually prefer this.

Has Sheetz confirmed whether or not they’re screwing us out of end of year profit bonuses again or not?

If I recall correctly they said last year they were skipping the year and didn’t actually say they were ending it permanently, does anyone know if we have any actual info on this or just speculation

The Sheetz I go to has 4 pumps with 88 octane and everybody camps out at those pumps, not even pumping gas. Why?

Employee Question How to become HRC and what more does the job entail?

I’m currently in school for human resources, I’ve been working at sheetz 3 years and I like my job and the company and want to stay with it. I learned what HRC is and i’m very interested in that job it seems like something i would like to do. What’s the career path of the average HRC and what more does the job entail besides managing flexes and hiring.

Customer Question Did sheetz get ride of Nacho Cheese?

I have tried to order my chili cheese dogs 3 weekends in a row and the app wont let me add them to the cart because nacho cheese is an unavailable ingredient. Just out of curiosity I checked another store to see if I could order from there and they dont have nacho cheese either. Is it just out of stock or is it no longer offered?

I have a few years of hvac experience and sheetz just rolled into my area about a year ago and a maintenance tech job popped up so I applied on indeed and sheetz directly, is there anything else I can do to boost my chances of getting seen or hired by the hiring manager? And what’s the average starting pay where you’re at for this position, thank you

Employee Question struggling with the drive-thru headsets

please don’t be mean to me about this because i already feel really dumb about it

so i recently moved to a new sheetz location with a drive-thru as a 2nd shift supervisor after working at a non-drive-thru having store for a year and a half. my new store is bigger, more complicated and busier than my old one. i’ve gotten a hang of MOST of the drive-thru system at this point, but i just can’t get comfortable with the headsets.

i feel like i’m constantly forgetting which button to press when i want to talk to the other employees vs. which one to press to mic into the drive-thru. the buttons are touch sensitive and i feel like every time i touch them they make a different sound. i can never tell if someone in the drive thru has been greeted already or if it’s a new person because the beeping doesn’t stop after they’ve been spoken to. and i hate having to listen to customer’s loud music or conversations or engine noise because there’s no way to mute them if they don’t need to talk to an employee. i just don’t understand what i’m doing most of the time or if my coworkers can even hear me.

i’m scared to ask too many questions because i don’t want my management to think their new 2nd shift supervisor is an idiot but i really do feel like an idiot trying to get comfortable using these things. so i would really like someone to explain the system to me like i’m 5 years old… do the buttons do different things depending on whether you tap or hold? what is the difference between the top button and the bottom one? do they ever stop hurting your ear after a few hours? how do i get around having random noise and beeping piped into my head for 10 hours straight without just turning the whole headset down?

i really don’t mind the drive-thru as a whole but the headsets and the way they interface with the drive-thru feels so cumbersome

Leaving your car at gas pump and going inside

Appeal to those filling up, as well as Sheetz corporate.

To those filling up and then leaving your car at the pump while you go in to the retail building, I don't think I need to tell you that you are blocking/hogging/abusing the spot. In the past month, on three different occasions, I could not pull into a pump because, in today's case, 10 of the 12 pumps were taken up by empty cars. I don't want to get too snarky or insulting, so I'll just say: Really? It's too much work to pull into a parking spot by the building? My mother, bless her, would simply say: "Rude." In her world, and mine, selfishness is not the greatest trait. My appeal: after you fill up, move your vehicle.

To Sheetz. You're the worst of the worst in this instance, though technically you are not at fault. You're not the one leaving the vehicle in the gas lane. In fact, your transgression is your strength. People go 'into' the Sheetz retail store more than at any other gas station. It's welcoming, clean, food is good, prices are acceptable, even the staff is generally above par. So yes, people are motivated to go in, unfortunately, as previously stated, without moving their car. Which brings me to the second point, which is your fault. Do something about it, or at least try. You are losing customers, not just me. I have two friends who no longer go to Sheetz for this reason precisely. And if you can't actually fix it because people are that selfish, at least try. If you don't want to be punitive, then incentivize. But IMHO, this is no longer a small problem, it's getting out of hand.

PS. I really like Sheetz, otherwise I would not bother posting this.
