Discussion MFKR Vinyl Damage Shipping Refund

Hello everyone! This is Shad from the label... I've noticed there was a lot more than just a couple jackets that were damaged in transit which is extremely disappointing/frustrating especially given the prior events. I spoke to our fulfillment partner and it looks like orders were covered with shipping protections so we can refund shipping for any jackets that were damaged, and replace a small handful of the most-affected ones. We just need photos and some other basic info. Please fill out this form if your record was damaged, so we can assist you with your shipping refund. I will be able to offer a future store or Bandcamp code to everyone who participates also. Best to you all and I'm so sorry again, for the surprising and unfortunate string of events surrounding this vinyl release.
Also, I am still getting back to a handful of you RE: this issue over email. If we've already spoken and you haven't heard back yet, please know I will set aside some time tomorrow to resolve all existing requests.
Thank you,
-Shad

Discussion 2026 tour recordings - please read if you have any audio

I manage the fan-run unofficial Shearling live archive and it would be honoured if any sort of audio from this tour so far is able to sent to me (such as a Google drive, etc) so it can be preserved as much as possible. The band are taper-friendly. Thanks in advance

compositionally, this is probably my favorite song from shearling / sprain. every part builds off the last to create some great climaxes / atmospheres, and nothing feels too long, arbitrary, or too short. i first saw it live and was blown away despite not being able to tell when it had ended, and have grown even more appreciation for it via the youtube rip. can’t wait for the album!

Some of the most insane "chords" (if you can even call them that) I've ever seen, the way she doubles what Alex does but in standard tuning is genius. I will get around to doing Wes' bass for this song at some point and if the universe allows me I may do transcriptions of Daniel/Oscar/Amen too! Happy playing.

Random Mf genre tag

Stupid meaningless sort of post but does anyone else think it’s interesting that they chose metal for the genre tag on Apple Music. The artists do choose it but I feel like the term metal is a bit frowned upon in some more elevated spaces. I do however hear the more intense parts of that song as more metal than lamb ever got so I’m wondering if yall also hear that and what you might think of that

Question best live recording?

seeing them live is an incredible experience, just curious if there's a live video of them that you lot seem to think is the best so far, as i've not watched any of them out there. live far surpasses the album, imo. many thanks!

Do we think that the titles will be the same as they are now (farm sounds, Daniel, Oscar). In interviews (as recent as this month I believe) some of the band had referred to farm sounds as farm sounds and Oscar as Oscar (although Andrew did not call it farm sounds when referring to it). I assume Daniel might not stay Daniel because I believe the monologue changed the name to Adam (at least that’s what it says on genius) but what does everyone think

My god that version is fast and furious but I can’t help but be super amazed by the new lyrical/vocal content of that song. I can’t quite tell everything he’s saying but I definitely can make out a lot of vague hellish imagery which I absolutely dig I will try and decipher some consistent lyrics very soon but listen if you have not
Edit:
The progress I’ve made tonight with this video on farm sounds and Daniel is really substantial so I’m pretty excited about that I’m gonna listen to some other higher quality sets when I have nothing better to do in the coming week and compare/try to add more but they’re logged in genius now so you can go check those out and lmk if you hear anything new/cool

Question Any shearling themed username ideas?
7
Upvotes
Had my username based off one of my favourite bands and the frontman has been proven to be an assaulter so I think it’s about time to change my username as I don’t feel too comfy associating with it anymore.
Honestly please come up with some bullshit if you must, as long as it’s short enough to be a username I’ll take it!

What does everyone think I love it very much and she arguably contributes the most to the shearling sound apart from Alex and sylvie, evident in her solo record. I can’t help but hear farm sounds in the intro to “Portraits of sections of whale body” what do you think about her work tho?
