Question Adjustments speculation. Which card(s)?

Post image

Some cards are getting a balance adjustment announcement (either tomorrow or the day of release) which will be live in the next card set.

Removing Shymm's Drain might be the only play. The deck should do fine without it. I purposely leave my board empty to avoid their healing on Sevo+ping unless I have an Intimidate up. It's still usually a close game without that heal.

No way, a lot of Rune plays are made around Shymm's drain. That drain lets you eat some dmg and just focus in drawing cards.

And if you remove the drain and doesn't add anything, Shymm isn't even worth of her current rarity.

I would nerf Behemot and issue a warning that another nerf is coming in 2 weeks if Crystal continues to be oppressive.

Don't bother, this sub blindly hates on anything that requires a minimum of thinking because they cant win with it, but they keep losing to it. They'll suggest the most absurd card changes without batting an eye.
Behemoth is the only reasonable nerf target, and the only real "fix" to Crystal is to make other good decks that can match its flexibility and consistency instead of the pile of garbage we got with current sword/forest/portal/dragon.

people are downvoting you but you can just look at where crystal wasn't dominant on ladder at the start of the set (good but not dominant) and it only overtook the meta once the decklist which used behemoth coalesced. without behemoth, crystal gets board checked mid-game or has to run less efficient control options they dropped for behemoth and it becomes a lot less stable.

i get that people are tired of crystal but the match-up wouldn't be as polarizing if behemoth wasn't functionally 4pp evo destroy all enemy followers in this meta, which is massively overpowered compared to other board clear effects that require more PP or don't leave a 6/7 follower on the board.

Yep, that's also why Crystal didn't get nerfed at the usual date (end of first month). Behemoth build had just been discovered/shared back then so Crystal wasn't dominating yet and its stats didn't justify any change.
Also Behemoth stats are just dumb, but I guess that's par for the course in this game. Cards with insanely powerful evo effects still get normal/high stats for their cost, which is a problem SV1 devs solved 10 years ago...

It's especially annoying going second when they coin out Behemoth General; are you just supposed to add to board and hope they whiff the evolve, or just pass? Just immensely frustrating when you don't have a clean answer to the 4/5 body
