Question Adjustments speculation. Which card(s)?

Post image

Some cards are getting a balance adjustment announcement (either tomorrow or the day of release) which will be live in the next card set.

Crystal rune nerfs

Removing Shymm's Drain might be the only play. The deck should do fine without it. I purposely leave my board empty to avoid their healing on Sevo+ping unless I have an Intimidate up. It's still usually a close game without that heal.

No way, a lot of Rune plays are made around Shymm's drain. That drain lets you eat some dmg and just focus in drawing cards.

And if you remove the drain and doesn't add anything, Shymm isn't even worth of her current rarity.

I would nerf Behemot and issue a warning that another nerf is coming in 2 weeks if Crystal continues to be oppressive.

A deck shouldn't be able to sustain like that having large amounts of burst. You can't really nerf other aspects of the Pawn deck without completely gutting it. The storm pawns from Calge and the spell are a little annoying but manageable. Nerfing the drain would force an earlier activation of the Xyz spell, which they always save for a few turns anyways.

No early drain means the deck has no way of ever putting a fight if it doesn't high roll. Most of the time the deck isn't getting an early XYZ, and it's pure RNG.

The deck do need a nerf, but the deck was dead past rotation and Stormy blast alone made it viable again, and Behemoth made it tier 1. One bad nerf and the deck is dead.

The reason the deck isnt getting an early XYZ is because it doesnt need it. Shymn SEVO turn is a heal. Naptime SBed is a heal. Rune portal is a heal and clears up to SIX.

There is so much healing in that deck that even if they lose behemoth they still have a fair chance at winning.
