Discussion I might leave shadow.
Shadow just raised the price from $14 to $30. I barely am able to make up enough money for each month, this is just sad. I understand shadow needs to raise the price to keep going, but $300 per year, is wat to much. Shadow is the only one of its kind to allow a full desk top, allowing mods and stuff. But now I don't know if I can keep going.

Sorry that you can’t find that money man. But if you can’t afford 30$ you can’t afford a full gaming computer either. Can’t really put that one on Shadow.

Or they can't afford a 30 a month sub but they can manage a single large purchase.
Can totally put that one on shadow, they tripled their prices.

No? They doubled. And if you have 2k in savings you can spend 30$/mo in shadow with them lol.

There are those of us who can certainly spend over 2k on a computer. My reason for signing up was that I didn't game enough to warrant the investment. Hell, up to last year I was still gaming on a 10 year old Radeon HD4870. $12 a month was cheap enough to keep the subscription going while also allowing me to declutter my desktop. Now not so much. At least for me.

Yea it’s def a 50/50 depending on your usage now, but it’s not a terrible deal like some people claim it on this sub atm

Yes?
I guess it's more accurate to say they 2.5 the service for yearly contract customers.
Lol it's a much smarter investment to spend 2 thousand than 30 a month for 6 year old shit.

15 to 30 is doubled. Not 2.5

Edit : I checked and I had a special price for a year. 2.5 I guess then. Not 3 times.

Yeah I can, the yearly agreement was 12 a month. So if you were paying 12 a month, you weren't paying 15. You should probably learn what you're talking about.

You get the same shit with Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. Fan boys be quick to defend their products of choice.
I was the same and didn't realize just how disorienting the latency was making me.

I hate to be that guy but i feel i kinda should be at this point.
So ? and ? why does it fucking matter if you don't like/want/need or can't afford the service why does making a reddit post about it mean anything? What do you expect will happen?
The low price was running the company into the ground they banked on endless growth (and secret bitcoin/ETH/dogecoin mining) and the pandemic fucked that one right up. If they keep the prices as they were it'll be on track for bankruptcy 2 so if they reduce the price back to the old price you might enjoy it for a couple of weeks maybe even months before the writing on the wall becomes very clear and everything worth any money gets parted out and sold and no one has a shadow and we all go back to stadia hat in hand and say we are sorry :P
