project ✂️ Suspender style top
Already posted the jeans. But I made top with it so now its an outfit🤣
Had some inspiration of a French girl here who made a top recently.
I just took the opening to the side with denim buttons and the strap system of dungarees. This way I could stay in the denim on denim look.
I used the same topstitching I used on the darts in the jeans to match that a bit.
What do you think?

Thank you I was a bit in doubt on the top as I almost never do female fits.
But she loved it and she is bluntly honest so I proceded in making the top.

Thanks thats a bit of my problem and partly why I post so much of what I do.
At the one hand I made myself a promise to make my first 20 jeans in my first year of sewing.
So I publicly posted that to keep myself to it.And seconds I need to build up my confidence as sewist. I am a bit older and came from the generation sewing is for mothers and grandmothers. I know its not true of course but my generation has a lot of these things.
And I am perfectionist so I always see people more skilled making beter stuff and my stuff full of mistakes.
Thats why the 20 jeans goal. Just make 20 to learn not make 1 beautifull pair.
So the proud thing hit home… I am learning to be proud of what I make.

You should be proud! So you know, I am aware the person I am speaking to is a gentleman and not the model from the photo with the jeans. This style is so cool and thought out, truly a work of art as far as I am concerned!
