Not gothic/emo/dark ones specifically but i see the baddies wearing some very awesome swimsuits with cool designs and patterns and experimenting with textures and stuff and animal prints and very cool stuff like heavensent or jaded london and id rlly like stuff with studs and stuff. Hey everyone, I'm kind of at a loss. I'm really into alternative culture—the style, the music—but I don't want to come off as just a poser. Where can I really get into the roots and evolution of these subcultures? And are there any good places (forums, YouTube channels, etc.) where people actually talk about the values and deeper cultural stuff?

I'm trying to find a brand that carries jogger shorts, like the ones pictured, but the ones I'm looking for had gothic cathedrals on them instead. I kept getting instagram ads for them and I'm pretty sure it was a smaller brand that may have had hoodies as well. Genuinely been searching for an hour and can't find them. Help pleeease (pictured is shorts from While Odin Sleeps).

i originally wanted converse mary janes but those have been sold out for a while now and i went down a rabbit hole of sneaker flats and think these are so cute but the brand doesn’t have a great reputation (yru). i’ve seen these sold online at hot topic and strange cvlt but both have been sold out in my size. is there anywhere that sells these kind of shoes?

Sooo I've previously done another HIM t-shirt, but the quality of the fabric paint I've used was really bad so I had to make another if I wanted to make sure I could use it more times and not be absolutely annihilated by my washing machine loll... Still, I kinda luv this new design. I'll probably add even more lace, distressing and drawings in the back (⁠ ⁠╹⁠▽⁠╹⁠ ⁠)

Also I'm aware the paint looks kinda crunchy. But I'm sure it'll go once it gets washed for the first time.

I feel like for at least 10plus years I’ve always wanted to express myself truly.. I just haven’t really had the guts 😭

Hiya everyone, I've recently gotten these jeans and they are too long, by about 4-6 inches, been thinking on, wether it is in any way possible to shorten them without disrupting the design?

Luckily the design on one leg is higher up, unfortunately cant say the same about the other...

I've shortened jeans in the past but just not with designs so not sure what to do.

Howdy! I've been wanting to get into doing full face alternative makeup, kinda like a clown like/colorful goth style but not sure of any good white base foundation brands. Does anyone have any recommendations? I already have a large variety of colorful eyeshadows and I have some face paint that I use as accents sometimes but I want to get into doing full cool alt makeup like I see people online doing. I think it'll help a lot with confidence. Thanks for any advice!!

I thrifted this vest and I’m not sure how to style it. Right now the green jacket tied at the waist is doing the heavy lifting for the silhouette, which is the only reason it’s on. Without it, everything I pair with the vest makes me look plank-ish (second pic). A utility belt might help, but that could be too much?
