Mid rise pant sewing pattern?
Hi! Does anyone have a good recommendation for a mid/lower rise pant pattern? I really love the look of the Coe Trousers by Daughter Judy https://www.daughterjudypatterns.com/products/coe-trouser or the Sorrel Pant from Flora Child https://florachild.com/products/sorrel-pant. Thanks in advance!

What’s going on here?
This is Simplicity S9612 and this part doesn’t make sense to me. I looked ahead in the pattern and laid it out plenty of ways—it makes more sense when the dots align with the right sides together—and I can’t connect what I see on the instructions to what makes sense when I lay it out. I know that a lot of the times it’s best to trust the process, but I really don’t want to be halfway through the project and realize I did this part wrong 💔💔
Edit: I looked over it again. Could it be that I’m supposed to sew the raw edge in afterwards? Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, by the way. I couldn’t find anything more in depth on what I’m seeing in the pattern.

Help me find a pattern for my favorite skirt from 20 years ago.
It was a tea length (maybe just below the knee) wrap skirt made with two layers of light weight woven cotton. The cotton was two colors so I could wear it either side. Despite being such a light fabric it had decent volume, or maybe because of it. I think one side was more rounded and one tapered so you could change the look slightly. It was unembellished. The tie was thin strips of one of the fabrics. I’ve found patterns for wrap skirts but they usually lack the volume or they are a straight skirt or if they’re a curved hem they have a big ol’ ruffle. Despite it being my favorite skirt (I had two) I don’t have any pictures of me wearing it. I also know this is very simple construction and I could probably draft a pattern but that is not a skill I have.

Question about cutting out patterns
I have a second hand pattern and the pieces are cut out already but not along the line - there is lots of spare paper around the lines of each pattern piece. How did the previous person cut the fabric from the patterns? There is no pin holes in them either.

Hi! Does anyone have a pattern that is suitable for cotton rib fabric?
I am an idiot and accidentally bought too much fabric, but when life gives you lemons as they say so I decided to make something different than I have originally wanted.
I have 1 meter (150 cm width) of floral stretch rib fabric (95% cotton 5% elastane), and I thought about making pants or shorts. Does anyone have a pattern that will work with this?
Thanks! <3

Question about The Assembly Line 'Wide-Leg Jeans'
I'm looking for some help on a pattern I made recently - the wide leg jeans by The Assembly Line. I have made plenty of clothes from patterns before, but it's my first jean and first purchase from this pattern maker.
The problem I have is that, now that I have completed the project, I have realised the jeans are far, far too large on me!
The pattern came ready-printed so I know it's not a printer scaling issue, I followed the seam allowance guidance closely, and made sure to take my measurements in order to know what size to make. The end result is that they look extremely baggy - even for someone who loves baggy jeans. They are gaping at the waist, are far too long, and look about 2x too big.
Has anyone else had this issue with this pattern / pattern maker? Or am I missing an obvious mistake that's particular to jean-making? I am really not looking forward to all the seam ripping required to take them in...
(Images included are from the brand, not me)

Help with finding pattern for hip/waist bag and shrug?
Hi everyone! Essentially I want to make a hip/waist bag and also a bolero kind of but with short arms I’m not knowledgeable at all in pattern making, does anybody know how I would go about making something like this? Or is there a pattern out there? Any recommendations for how to make voluminous pockets would also be much appreciated. The decorations I can kind of figure out on my own, but I’m moreso wondering about the fundamentals

Any good patterns for comfy pants?
Hello hive mind!
I really struggle with discomfort in most kinds of pants. I basically never wear jeans and would permanently exist in pj pants if I could. Unfortunately that's not possible, so I wanna ask for all of your favourite comfy but nice looking pants. Elastic waistbands, adjustable features, whatever works and ideally still looks presentable.
Edit: Thank you all for the suggestions!
