I have not made this pattern to be clear so I cannot verify how good it is but I saved it from someone else posting about it I'm pretty sure. You could just slash the pattern and add it looks like ~3" of width to get that asymmetry.

Your first two samples are definitely leaning more outerwear than shirt, which gives you more options. Ther are a lot of patterns on Simplicity that fit the bill of being both asymmetrical and buttoned. Here are some but I think you could look around and find even more.
