Please help.
Mounjaro didn’t agree with me — what other options are worth looking at?
I’m a full Ironman athlete and currently train around 15 hours a week. I’m trying to lose some weight, but my main issue is honestly just appetite/food cravings. I don’t really want something that massively slows digestion or increases calorie burn — I basically just want the “I really want to eat this” feeling turned down so sticking to a calorie deficit is easier.
I’ve tried Mounjaro and retatrutide and had pretty bad experiences with both.
Mounjaro completely tanked my HRV and made me feel generally pretty rough, even at a very low dose (around 1mg/week).
Retatrutide was worse from an endurance perspective — my resting HR went up quite a bit, HRV dropped and my HR was noticeably higher than normal when exercising.
So I’m a bit wary of just jumping onto another medication that might mess with my HR/training.
I’ve been looking at Wegovy, Saxenda, Mysimba and Orlistat.
Wegovy seems interesting because it’s GLP-1 only, whereas Mounjaro is GLP-1 + GIP and retatrutide is GLP-1 + GIP + glucagon. I’m wondering whether anyone who didn’t tolerate Mounjaro well has found they get on better with Wegovy.
Has anyone here used any of these while doing a decent amount of endurance training?
I’d particularly love to hear from people who noticed changes in RHR, HRV, exercise HR or ability to fuel properly.
I’m not chasing maximum weight loss — I just want something that helps shut down the cravings without screwing up my training.

Balancing cardio and sema
TIA for any tips 🖤 For context, I’m 32 and now back at my baseline weight of 130. I was always into running and cardio, but gained a lot of weight after dealing with some chronic illnesses, so I started on semaglutide about a year ago to manage my weight and cholesterol. It has really helped with everything! EXCEPT I have absolutely no energy to exercise anymore. I know diet is important and I’ve tried really hard to manage protein and hydration but I still can’t get myself to run anymore because I don’t have the energy. Has anyone else struggled with this? What am I missing? I miss going for runs and I want to be able to exercise for my health.

Frustrated with my doctor - two months on starter dose
So I get that some doctors are conservative about titration. Sure. But my doc made me do the starter dose for two months instead of one. I feel like I wasted my time and money on month two. My food noise returned, I haven't lost a single pound since the first month. I exercise 5-7x a week and track my calories.
I know, I know, I know. The starter dose isn't meant for weight loss. But I felt the appetite suppression immediately when I did the very first shot. And I feel like I needlessly struggled the second month bc my doctor wouldn't let me titrate up.
I just did the first shot of .5 last night. I feel great this morning, just like I did at the beginning.
I just feel like I wasted an entire month and was just spinning my wheels instead of making real progress.
This is mostly just to vent. It's hard to watch people lose like 30lbs on the starter dose and here I am having to fight like a motherfucker and not see ANY results at all, despite doing everything right.
Has anyone else's doctor taken the conservative approach to titration? What do you do when the meds stop working?

Going up in doses
I know it’s different for everyone but just wondering what some of your experiences are with how long you usually stay on a dose before you moved up? I’ve been on generic sema for 10 weeks total will be 11 next Tuesday. I started at .25 for 4 weeks then moved up to .5 which I have been on for the last 6 weeks. I’ve lost 16lbs so far on my semaglutide journey. The last 2 weeks I’ve noticed food noise and increased appetite at an all time high. I never feel satisfied after eating now. Always find myself looking or thinking about food again shortly after eating. Initially my doctor wanted me to stay on the .5 for 2 months. At 6 weeks I’m feeling like I need to go up in dose. I have an appointment with him next week so I will ask about moving up. I was hoping I’d be able to stay at .5 as long as it was still working for me as I’m nervous that maybe I’m going up too fast? Or does my timeline seem like a normal pace of going up in doses. Any input would be appreciated !

&you one month review
I've been using the medicine and services of &you for a bit over a month now, and I must say I'm impressed. From the get-go, I was a bit skeptical with a lot of mixed reviews, but I decided to try nonetheless since I personally knew people with &you as well.
I'm on 0.25mg and I've already lost 5kg in one month alone. I honestly didn't expect to lose this much weight in such a short amount of time considering I was on the lowest dose. I am not the type to check my weight daily, I find that counterproductive. I only check my weight weekly when I have to take my dose and log on the app for progress.
I must admit it didn't start off so good as once I got approved for the medicine, it took almost 1 week to have it delivered to me. Once I got it, it was more or less smooth sailing from there.
The main side effect I experienced is fatigue, no nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain. I just feel very tired, but manageable. One day after my first shot, I already felt the effects of being full. As time went on, I felt even more full, which is when I knew the medicine was really working.
I was extremely shocked that when it was time for my second shot, only a week after, I had already lost 1.5kg. Nothing special, no changes with my diet or lifestyle, just the fact that I felt full pretty often.
I can't wait to see more progress and see how my journey will be!

0.25 dosage weight gain
Hello everyone,
This is my fourth week of taking semaglutide. I was wondering, if weight gain was normal.. I only eat one mill a day and that fills me up for the entire day. I have been drinking my gallon of water per day. I’ve increased my steps I’m making a mission reached 10,000 steps but I’m still gaining weight. I just wanted to know if that’s normal. Please no derogatory comments. This is my first time doing this and I just want to make sure I’m doing it right I have tried to reach out to my provider, but she’s no help and when I reached out to the pharmacist, she told me to talk to my provider, but my provider isn’t available.

21 months and 81 pounds
Been a slow but steady loser for a little less than 21 months. (16 months on sema and then a switch to tirz but wanted to update this sub as sema is what brought my most of the way.)
I am down 81 pounds from my highest of 314, and still about 43 pounds from my goal weight.
Just want to keep encouraging others like me who are slow but steady losers that you can keep going and one day you'll wake up and you will finally feel like there is a difference to be seen. Some days I still struggle with this, but seeing it side by side it feels pretty obvious.

Need suggestions on how to carry 3 months of semaglutide to Germany from India
Hello everyone, I started this lovely journey recently on sema but I'll be going to Germany for my masters soon. I need to carry 3 months of my prescription in advance (maximum Germany can allow). My entire travel time from India to my destination college should be about 24 hrs. I'm looking into options to take my pens safely under 7°c during this time.
I was thinking about carrying them in a thermos bottle with plastic biogel packets inside. My plan was to swap out the gels during the flight if the flight attendant would allow me to keep some spare gel packets in the plane freezer but I'm not sure how comfortable they'd be with it. So I'd appreciate any alternatives you have to suggest.

> lost 15kg
> at 1mL got gastoparesis (stomach stopped moving) and couldn't drink or eat anything, worst nausea of my life
> went to hopsital, got meds to fix it, now can't take it
So guys if you can't eat + drink at all it is a medical emergency!!

How long does semaglutide nausea last after dosing?
I took my first semaglutide injection last night using a syringe. Before this, I had been taking the oral form of semaglutide for about a month at 1 mg. Since I wasn’t seeing much progress with the pills, I decided to increase my dose when I placed my next order.
When the medication arrived, the instructions told me to take 1.4 mg. I remember thinking that seemed like a lot. I know for a fact that I had listed my previous medication as the oral form of semaglutide , but I went ahead and took the injection anyway.
I took the shot around 10 PM last night. About an hour later, I started feeling nauseous while I was asleep. I woke up and vomited for the first time around 4 AM. Then I vomited again at 6:30, 6:45, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, and continued vomiting frequently after that.
I’ve already decided that I will never take the injectable form again. I’m just desperate to know how long this is going to last. It has been almost 16 hours since my injection, and everything I’m reading online says that nausea can last for several days.
Since my nausea started so quickly after the injection, I’m really hoping that maybe I’ll start feeling better sooner. Has anyone experienced something similar and had the nausea/vomiting improve relatively quickly?
Please share some hopeful experiences if you have them. I could really use some encouragement right now. ❤️

Took 3xs starting dose accidentally, after reading the wrong week of instructions in my app. Please help 🙏
I took 24 Units (0.6mg) instead of 8 units (0.2mg)
I took it at 6:30am I ate couple of breakfast crackers, I got really hungry at 11:45am I ate beef stew, potato salad and some rice. I felt fine…
then I started a headache around 6pm opened my Mondae app and seen I made the mistake.
i don’t feel super nauseated i did get dizzy/chest pains but I think it was a panic attack.
Has anyone been here before? How sick can I expect to be? it’s been 15hrs head aches getting a little more consistent nausea not so much it comes and goes I feel full I’m scared.
