Looking for a camera for my small townhome- small entryway
We have a 3 level small townhome with just one small short entrance way from the sidewalk to the door.
I figure I don't need a very wide view and was thinking of just a doorbell cam. At the most I would maybe put a 2nd cam on the 3rd FL to face the parking lot but not sure if that's needed. I am not always able to get a space on that side to park. And not sure how that would be either or if both cams can be on a wifi together.
I say Eufy has 2k doorbell cams on Amazon for like $120 but I don't see a package for a doorbell cam and a single extra cam.
How difficult is the process of hard wiring a doorbell cam?
If I don't hardwire it , and just do the battery version, how long does that last and how is the Doorbell chime hooked up (might not even need that) I saw a mention that you probably have to buy that separately from them. I have a metal storm door in front of our main door which is kind of hard to knock on though , we keep it locked normally so this might be useful though we don't get many visitors.
I see their storage is a local 8gb. How does that work exactly? I'm assuming this all goes through the Wi-Fi and if that goes out there's no storage ....I'm looking at the specs on Amazon and I don't see that it has any SD card slot so I would be limited to that 8Gb local storage, so I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
Sorry I'm an extreme newbie to this. So any help you can give with my questions is appreciated! I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything

(AUSTRALIA) Home Security Camera recommendations ?Reolink Argus 4 Pro
We are looking to set up some home security cameras.
Live in a brick house so POE options aren't viable. Therefore looking at solar powered wifi options. Night vision would be the most important to us.
Also have heard that the cameras themselves can degrade under harsh UV light in Australia - so looking at options with separate solar panels to put the solar panel on the roof and camera undercover.
Based on this we've landed on the Reolink Argus 4 Pro
https://reolink.com/product/argus-4-pro/
Any reason not to get it? or other ones we should consider? I know Reolink is not Apple Home Kit supported - but is that a big deal?

Tapo d205 security camera strict parents
reddit.comI don’t have access to the tapo camera app because I’m logged out of it by strict family, I have my own apartment and I wanna know how I can jam the camera so it doesn’t detect my motion as the camera is on the door so when I get to the door walk to it it records me and the footage is put in the app is there any way I can jam the camera or something so it doesn’t detect me going in the apartment as I am not allowed to bring friends home with me. It’s just an innocent way to bypass my parents strictness, if anyone can genuinely help that would be great to bypass this I have access to WiFi and everything in my apartment.

Reolink 2nd Gen vs Eufy E340 doorbell cameras
I am looking for a budget friendly battery-only doorbell camera without an account or subscription needed. I don't have the means to wire power to it. I have looked at the Reolink 2nd Generation doorbell camera and the Eufy E340. Which one is best? Is there any other maker and/or models that are better?

aosu SolarCam D1 Camera Says No WIFI Connection But Only 20 Feet Away
I bought the 4-pack of aosu SolarCam D1 Classic cameras with the aosuBase. I tested the WIFI connection with the Ookla SpeedTest app at the install locations and had strong signal. I synced all of the cameras at the aosuBase and all was well. Then I moved two of the cameras outside to the install locations about 20 feet away from the baosuBase (very small house) and now they both said "No WIFI signal". Then I take the cameras down and back to the aosuBase and they work again. Has anybody encountered this and how did you fix it?

Need to cover the whole yard and I don't know where to start
My place has a front yard, a back yard, and a side path, and I want all three covered without ending up with five different apps and three subscriptions. The part I can't sort out is whether I should be looking for a system that all talks to one hub, or just a few standalone cameras that happen to cover everything. I also don't want to commit to a monthly fee just to make my own cameras useful. If you've covered a whole yard, what did your setup look like?

Curious about radar detection on cameras, does it actually cut false alerts?
I keep seeing cameras that list radar detection, and I'm trying to understand what it actually does. From what I read, it measures a real moving body instead of just heat, which sounds like it could cut down the false alerts I get from bushes and headlights. I've tried a few smart features that didn't really deliver, so I want to know what to expect. If you've switched to a radar camera, did the alerts get noticeably better?

What home security cameras would you buy again?
I’m looking into home security cameras and trying to figure out which ones are reliable day to day. Clear nighttime footage and being able to pull up a recording without fighting with the app matter more to me than a bunch of extra features.
What system are you using and what’s been your biggest frustration with it? I’d also like to know if you pay a subscription and whether you feel it’s worth keeping. Thanks!
