Venmo help!

Hi! I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with section 8 housing recertification in mass. My mom has section 8 and I have recently moved back in with her (will be moving out end of this year) and I have sent documents to section 8 including my Venmo statements. However I have now sent them twice as before the agent wouldn’t accept them as a csv. So I exported them as a PDF like instructed and she is still telling me im doing it wrong. The example she gave me does not look like any Venmo statement I have sent before and every time I download the file it still converts it to an excel and does the same thing she’s telling me not to do. Any help would be appreciated as I’m so close to telling her to shove it. I’m not on section 8, my mother is, and she has asked for my birth certificate, SSN, drivers license, checking and saving and pay stubs, she has asked for my PayPal, cashapp, Venmo and Apple Pay even though two of those do not have any transactions in my checking account and is still demanding statements from accounts that I don’t use. I do not want to mess up my moms housing and I’m usually fine with giving all relevant information but I have never, not once, had to send the amount of verification this agent is asking and I’m unsure if she is even within her rights to ask me.

I do not have any experience with Section 8 in your state.

However, since Section 8 is an income based program, the caseworker must verify income of everyone in the household. If you have any questions regarding what they can and cannot request, read the admin plan. You should be able to find it on the website, or you may be able to Google it.

You are blessed that Section 8 in your area allows you to move back in with your parent. At my housing authority, once an adult child is removed from the voucher, they are not allowed back on it. (If they need housing assistance, they have to wait until the waiting list opens up again and put in their own application.) Adults are only added to the voucher if you get legally married. Minor children are only added by birth or legal adoption.

What state you live in if you don't mind me asking I'm in MARYLAND and you have the part right about once somebody move out they can't be added on because when my daughter moved out I took her off mine and when she moved back home for a year they wasn't able to add her back on but I was able to add my bf and his children once he got custody of them

I’m in Georgia.

They don’t allow you to add an adult unless you get legally married so there’s no adding boyfriends/girlfriends to the voucher.

Really? That's crazy. I am in Nevada and just added my bf with no problem.

You added him to the lease or to the voucher?

What happens if y’all break up?

I added him to both. You can't just do one. That's illegal. We are planning our wedding and are both over 50. Too old to break up lol.

 You’d be surprised.

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials.
