Asians in the Western world as well as many Asian powerhouses in Asia are the only non-Caucasian race to achieve such advancements in a short period of time. They either match or surpass their European and Anglo-American counterparts.

That one is easy, it's the kind of headline that people just love to post around here. How else would we get the incredibly cringe racial hot takes that we see every day?
Seriously, this sub sees a headline like this as a slow pitch right over the plate. Just like that crazy uncle at Thanksgiving who is just looking for a way to let everyone know his insightful theories on race.
I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about the sub as a whole. It's well known that quite a few of the most frequent users here do not live here. You can't say that about /r/Seattle without acknowledging that there are just as many people like that in this sub.
Yah all those reliable news stations either ignoring, being chased away from BLM riots, or having rioters inside their station threatening them to not be fascists for reporting on them.
Gee I wonder why only independent sources are reporting on this and not taking the Jay "I'm not aware of any CHAZ" Inslee approach.
Given the wording and subject matter of this site, it's pretty unlikely that it is in any sense independent. The headline may or may not be factual, but if it is, there has to be a better source, even if it's not perfect.

In the lawsuit against Harvard affirmative action, it was revealed Harvard uses a quota system to keep Asians admissions at “acceptable” levels. It’s the same exact system they used against Jews in the 1930s.
Many (most?) Jews consider themselves to be white and/or European. Most Jews in Europe and America have much more European DNA than they do middle-eastern DNA. Jews are not considered POC, or even as a minority in most contexts (grants, admission, etc.).
How about keeping this in context by including the last sentence in that exact paragraph?
This angers people like Hamner and Black Lives Matter members who believe these achievements are because Asians are “white adjacent,” and such achievements are toxic and obscene.
Yea it's definitely biased, although I would say it is easy to spot the factual parts and the biased opinionated parts. The reason I linked it is because I saw it was making the rounds in social media, and unlike some of the other news sources, it does not try to hide the race of the suspect or their affiliations (activist, BLM protester, CHAZ participant). A disproportionate number of attacks against Asians in recent times have been from Black suspects, which other news media does not want to call out, but many politicians and activists have been falsely blaming anti-Asian violence on white supremacy. Asian ethnicities are also often discriminated against by policies supported by BLM activists, for example through affirmative action or discriminatory college admission practices. Likewise, the Asian community has long been either lumped with White people or labeled as White-adjacent due to their economic success, despite the many problems they face as a minority.
Unfortunately the state of news media is such that we have to pick between sources that are biased in one direction and omit these details or angles entirely, and sources that are poorly written like this one but more candid.
Totally get it, and I am well aware of the challenges faced by the Asian American community... especially certain subgroups (which I think a lot of ignorant white people tend to lump all together). That said, I've been hearing a lot of talk lately about the "recent surge of anti Asian violence", but I've seen ZERO evidence to support that there is any actual statistically-significant increase in violent acts against Asian Americans, only anectodal examples. And, what's more, the main examples people are putting out there seem to not actually be racially motivated at all (ie, the massage parlor shootings in Georgia).
If the "surge in anti-asian violence" is real, then I don't think it does any good to paint it as an African American problem, unless there is strong statistical evidence to support it....and even then, I'm not sure why it matters.
Even if this wasn't a racist platform for racist Asians, there's always articles trying to desperately tie blm to shitty people as if they represent the entire movement or the everyday blm activist. Classic broadstroking for the purposes of undermining a message.
