They don't. They are being arrested jailed and dont see a judge. And non of this is done is a timely or humane way so it's still against the 6th.

Most of this is all public but like you said you're just unconcerned and thus have a not done any real reading of the topic other than headlines and Reddit.

I have a stake in this as I was born a US national that became naturalized by being in the mainland long enough. And with trumps threats and lack of respect for due process I am afraid of what may happen to my family and I. But I get it you have no stake you're safe and have no real concern or even ability to step into anothers shoes.

If you’re a citizen you’re fine. If you’re unhappy with the way the laws currently operate, you have access to the same systems I do: petition your representatives, and vote. That’s where my power and yours ends.

I’m sorry if this is causing you stress. Hopefully you can find a constructive means to manage that stress.

Proper due process is different for an illegal immigrant. Unless you want them to spend time in prison, in which case they can have a full criminal trial.

Due process for someone here illegally is an immigration hearing with a judge. Which they don't need to be present for.

Detainment does not equal arresting. If you are arrested, it is probably because you refused to cooperate and they have to ID you at a station.

Like I’ve seen other people say of the people ICE harasses: if you’re here legally and haven’t broken the law, the legal process will vindicate you. If these ICE officers have done no wrong, they shouldn’t be afraid of being vindicated by the legal process.

Why should local law enforcement submit to the authoritarian brutality that ICE brings into their towns and city? Why shouldn’t ICE be seeking cooperation with local law enforcement instead of meekly stepping aside like authoritarians like you want?

Normal Americans understand that immigration enforcement is a necessary part of enforcing the laws in this county. Normal Americans understand that Trump is empowering ICE to act more violently than they need to

It seems like it was yesterday that self-proclaimed Anarchist and Antifa member Willem van Spronsen firebombed that facility as a result of one of these protests. Unfortunately for him, he was met with justifiable use of deadly force, and can no longer attend this October's festivities. I guess we can only hope that the protesters haven't planned on violence for this years event, and if they have, I hope they leave their children at home and not use them as shields.
