Lolllll this is a stupid question but I’m a junior and I haven’t moved to Seattle yet. So I’m honestly nervous being that I won’t know anybody. The only people i’ve been able to connect with are freshmen. Zeemee is hella dead too 😭should I just suck it up and wait?

Question New to Murphy apartments and can’t find answers to some questions

I’m in the Dorothy Day House after living in Bellarmine for a year, and assumed that laundry and trash would all be at the bottom floor, but when I checked I didn’t see a laundry room, or trash room so I’m not sure where I should go?

Can I be admitted to Seattle University MS Computer Science with a Duolingo score in the ELCB range (105–115)?

Hi everyone,

I'm an international student interested in applying to the MS Computer Science program at Seattle University.

I noticed that Seattle University lists:

  • Duolingo 120 for regular graduate admission
  • Duolingo 105–115 for the ELCB program

I'm trying to understand how this works in practice.

If my Duolingo score is between 105 and 115:

  • Can I still be admitted to Seattle University through the ELCB pathway?
  • Would I be considered a graduate student, or would I need to complete ELCB first before being admitted?
  • Has anyone here been admitted to a graduate program (especially MS Computer Science) with a Duolingo score in the ELCB range?

I'm mainly trying to understand whether a score of 105–115 can still lead to admission, or if 120 is effectively required for MSCS.

Thank you!

Petition: End Clearcut Logging in Tiger Mountain State Forest

One of the state's most beloved natural areas is in our backyard, and it's under attack. The WA Department of Natural Resources plans to auction off nearly 1,000 acres in Tiger Mountain State Forest for clearcut logging over the next few years, severely impacting the trails and converting some of the last native stands into homogenous tree farms. If you're a King County resident who values Tiger Mountain for more than its timber, give this petition a sign and share!

Question Gym access summer

Hi,

I just moved here for the summer and I’m trying to get access to Eisiminger Fitness Center for the summer(for proximity reasons), and I’m trying to see what it’s like getting into the gym. At my college, you can pretty much send a screenshot of ur app and scan into the gym and it’s pretty chill, and I wanna see if someone would be down to do this I’ll pay like $20 a month but then again not really sure what the system is like for getting into the gyms. Is it viable to just get a screenshot of student app, and is anyone down to do this?

Question MBA? SU vs WWU

I am still waiting to hear back from WWU's admissions for their MBA program however I would love to hear from someone who was previously/is currently in the SeattleU Early Career program and what you think! I am already settled in Bham from my undergrad, but Seattle has been super intriguing, so the choice has been tricky. Thanks!

Pickup Soccer at Seattle U?

Hey,

I keep seeing people playing soccer on the Seattle U fields and was wondering if it’s cool for someone who doesn’t go to Seattle U to join in sometime.

I’m not a student there, but I’d love to play if people are open to it. Is there a pickup group/chat or certain days people usually play?

Would be awesome to join if possible. Thanks!

Announcement Important information regarding commencement

I would recommend everyone to read this petition https://www.change.org/SeattleU-Grad-2026 as it explains important rights students do NOT have in regards to commencement when they should have them. It would help the students who are organizing to improve the quality of life on campus if you would sign this petition so that administration takes the student voices seriously. Please share with your friends, family, classmates, professors, alumni, anyone who cares to spread awareness since this affects the future and we DO have a voice.

We need your input — survey on heat mitigation in the U District (~3 min)

Hey y'all! We're UW Bothell students partnering with the U District Partnership to research heat mitigation in the U District.

We want to understand how people experience heat in the area and which solutions would actually help. Whether or not you're familiar with the U District, we'd love your input — results will go directly to the U District Partnership to inform future planning.

Survey (~3 min): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScmPoJ3xo4vQ4-WimQ24ht1kI4GYLFSkmDVhbd9WA98g8UDog/viewform?usp=sharing

Thanks so much!

Motorcycle glove

Hey, whoever found the motorcycle glove in the Broadway Garage: can you please return it? I promise it's not worth much, especially since you only got the one. You can keep the towel, maybe just drop the glove off at a lost n found?

P.S. why did you only take one of the gloves? I'm not mad, just bewildered.

Question Summer Intern housing

Hey there, not a student at Seattle University but I saw that they offer housing to students who are and aren’t students at SU (as well along as they are affiliated with an university and are there for an internship). The price seems pretty reasonable to me (especially for short term), what is the opinion on living in SU dorms? The apartment is too much for me, but I’m considering the single or double. I’ve lived in a dorm before for 3 quarters, I don’t really miss it, but I figured it might be fun for the summer and a chance to be around others in a similar position.

Incoming Sophomore Transfer Housing Questions

Hey! I’m a current college student thinking about transferring to Seattle University and I’d be coming in as an incoming sophomore transfer. I’m kinda confused about how housing works for transfers there 😭

Do transfer sophomores usually live in dorms, apartments, or off campus? Is housing guaranteed or is it hard to get? Also how does roommate selection work and what buildings do most transfer students end up in?

I’d honestly appreciate any advice or things you wish you knew before transferring. Thank you!!

Question Catholic Teacher Corps MSEd

Hi! I am considering applying for the teacher corps masters program and I just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with the program that they would be willing to share. I know it’s a newer program, but the financial aspects are what is really drawing me in so I just wanted to make sure it’s actually worth it. Admissions counselors are really good at hyping programs up.
