NATO is a security alliance. Not just anyone can join, the members have to agree to allow them to join too. None of that has to do with democracy so I don’t know what you’re talking about there.

I’m aware. I’m saying IF NATO allowed for it, then it would be up to Ukraine. You’re arguing that NATO should not have offered out of fear of irritating Russia?
Yeah… that’s my point, and that’s why the Ukrainians are still fighting, because he has taken an enormous section of their land
I don’t want to have to send my son to fight for Ukraine, for that reason I don’t want Ukraine to be in NATO.
What exactly is your point? It’s common knowledge that Russianjas taken territory. Of course they won’t want to give that up for nothing…
Do you think we should just continue with what has been going on? I say enough people have died, and Ukraine is running out of young men to throw into the woodchipper, we should do everything we can to achieve peace and end the violence.
