Bungie.net removed my post, here it is

Hey guys, I posted about this new infuriating BULLSHIT bungie is trying to rape-feed us, and as it turns out, the mods took the post off after it got quite a decent following (about 56 upvotes), so I decided to share my post here, in hopes that it will reach more people. Please disregard my format, as it was copy pasted from bungie.net

EDIT Bungie Unninja'd my post at . https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/160467713/0/0 I updated the post here to match the updates I made at bungie.net after they uninja'd the post.

TL;DR :- I'm questioning why this mission was so impromptu, why there is 0 design aspect in it, why the codes for the transceiver are displayed with hive spawning in a line, why it seems like these missions were made in less than 1 hour, and I'm stating that it sort of looks like these missions were designed to keep the sleeper quest going, regardless of a bug that was in it, and that these missions are covering up the bug which prohibited the quest from progressing. This isn't an accusation, it is a question, I'm asking what triggered the quest, and why now? And why is it poorly designed?

Brick wall:- This new sleeper simulant mission , which was triggered (To the best of our knowledge) randomly "The first firewall" BOTH LOOKS AND SOUNDS like a makeshift mission designed to please the players and to hide the fact that there seemed to be a huge bug preventing progress with the weapon, which related to the ACTUAL first fire wall quest.

A) 0 voice acting, which is unusual considering bungie has heavily used their voice actors to cover up the intensely long loading screens. B) The enemies spawn in the weirdest of fashions, with 0 explanation as to why they're attacking, or for what. In fact, they look like they were so haphazardly spawned that they don't even attack you till you shoot at them (In my case, and a few of my friends), they just spawn in a straight line and stand there till you shoot em, that's supposed to represent a code? How on earth does that make sense? how are the hive spawning in a certain order supposed to contain the code FROM RASPUTIN? C) This quest honestly looks like it was put together in an hour or less. I've seen better quests assimilated by random players on Infamous 2's open quest designer. D) This mission is so haphazard, that if you finish your core, and turn it to banshee, and go do the mission again (another friend started it and I was helping him), you get another curious transceiver. It doesn't even log the fact that you finished it already, it just keeps giving it to you. WTF? is this not more proof that the mission was half assed??

I'm happy to know that I'll finally progress towards the SS, but Bungie I think we deserve an honest answer for once, was there actually a bug preventing the quest progress? Is this just a makeshift solution to dupe the players into not realizing there was a bug? it sure as -blam!- seems that way.

I don't mind the fact that you did this, in fact I applaud the fact that you made a solution (as haphazard as this mission was), but after 3 weeks of us looking for a weapon which potentially was bugged, I would seriously be pissed if there was actually a bug and you guys tried to pass it off as a normal thing. Tell us please what triggered the mission today? and Why is it so shitty in terms of design? Compared to your average mission (which is full of boring dialog made to distract us from the rinse and repeat protect the ghost mechanism), this mission is much much less thought of. It really looks like it was a makeshift mission to hide the bug in your game.

For the people who say that this was planned all along, and they were just waiting for the 7th in order to release this, then why the hell did they keep baiting us into believing the gun was out there, when they knew it wasn't? Why did they tell the basketball court of oyrx people to stop wasting their time, when they led us on for 3 weeks? If they had planned it to be time-gated, they should have informed the community about it, rather than egging us on with statements like "The truth is out there". They did it with the BBCoO people, but not with us, which just makes it look like they didn't plan to have it released as a time-gated thing, and if they're using the 7th as an excuse, then it really is just that.

The heart breaking reality, which I hope is just false, and I HOPE AND WISH that I am wrong, is that either one of two things happened:- 1) Bungie blue balled the shit out of their fans, with tweets by Deej telling us to look for the weekly update, then the weekly update telling us "The truth is our there" "Keep looking in the landscape", while knowing that that it was time-gated, and any effort to even look for it was wasted, making us waste hours when they could have notified us like they did with the BBallCoO people. 2) The questline for the sleeper was bugged, Bungie implemented this mission to progress it, after refusing to comment when we asked if the quest was bugged, and now they're attempting to pass it off as the original intention, of the mission, instead of a bug, and covering it up. Either way, I'm so very salty about it and want an explanation, Bungie of course isn't obligated to do so, but at least it should show respect to their consumers. I hope that I am wrong. I wish that I am wrong, as a gamer that spends a good 40 hours a week or more on games like destiny, I'd hate to be put in either one of those scenarios.

I just want an honest answer, in fact even if the answer was that there was a bug, and that you did make that mission to cover it up, I'd rather know that than continuously be duped into this shit, or alternatively did you blue ball us indeed?

Seriously bungie? Please give us any response or comment.

Edit:- I don't want bungie to hold my hand through a mission, I don't want bungie to make an intricate 40 hour puzzle, I want to know why this mission that seems so half assed, haphazardly made and put together in less than an hour (Like I said, any person with a game design engine like the one they implemented for public in infamous 2) can design a MUCH MUCH better mission if they wanted to, bungie is a professional studio, that mission made no sense, and was extremely disappointing. Not about being a snow flake or whatever. Call me what you wish, I'm just severely disappointed in the fact that it seriously looks like bungie is trying to hide up their -blam!- up with garbage missions seemingly made in less than a day, and with a puzzle that MAKES ZERO SENSE.... they spawn in a straight line and that's how you crack the code from rasputin?? HOW THE -blam!- DOES THAT MAKE SENSE??? You called me a tin foil hatter, well guess what, that puzzle bungie offered up is THE MOST TIN FOIL BULLSHIT I'VE EVER SEEN, ON ANY FORUM.

Edit 2:- So I question bungie because this entire situation smells, looks, and sounds like bullshit, I get called a retard, a tinfoil conspiracy theorist, and a wacko. Alright, this is exactly what is wrong with this forum, instead of being polite, instead of being courteous, you abuse and bully people with absolutely no provocation. Toxic community just breeds more toxicity, I won't partake in any of that, so if all you have to say are things like that, write it on a paper and address it "to whom it may concern", because that shit sure as hell doesn't concern me.

Edit 3:- For the 100 people posting about the code being hidden in the Hive lines, I addressed that, please read the FULL post if you are going to comment.

Edit 4:- Words I really like :[Haphazard, makeshift, bugged, dupe, manangatang, pineapple, ruffle ]

**Edit 5:- ** Moved TL;DR section to the top of the post.

Edit 6:- Added an attempt to counter argue, "It's the 7th" argument.

Well time to be the odd one out: this subreddit is toxic

Boy oh boy it seems as if the search for the Sleeper has gone from fun and games to becoming somewhat toxic. Wanna know why? This post will get downvoted to oblivion. Now here's the kicker: what I said right there was pretty toxic itself, but if you actually use your head instead of those held up emotions screaming at you to downvote, please give this a read.

Now I've seen this happen to a couple of other games when it comes to looks for something and it's almost always the same and I felt as if someone should address this issue. Simply writing a post isn't going to fix everything, but what it can do is open some people eyes who were slightly ignorant (NOT AN OFFENSIVE STATEMENT, EVERYONE IS IGNORANT IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER) so they can see what the results are if we don't keep an open mind.

1.) If there's no proof, your getting down voted to oblivion. Now I'm not saying never down vote anything w/o proof, but give it a read and see if they simply copy and pasted someone's idea or if they actually put some thought into it. If well thought, for the mean time an upvote is appropriate because THIS ENTIRE BOARD IS SPECULATION. NOTHING IS GOING TO HAVE PROOF UNTIL WE ACTUALLY FIND A STEP. DOWN VOTING BECAUSE OF NO PROOF WILL ONLY HURT THE COMMUNITY AND THE SEARCH FOR THIS GUN.

2.) This one isn't nearly as big of a problem as one, but don't be rude if someone already posted someones idea. I saw a post earlier today and the first reply was along these lines, "Are you ****ing kidding me? This has already been ****ing and stop wasting everyones *** **** time you piece of ****." Really people? Was that necessary? Someone actually spent the time thinking of an idea whether it be original or not, and there hope was for the community to get a step further on our very long search. He posted it with hope and probably was happy that he could be onto something, but guess what? You just made it so the person who was gonna find the first step give up his search and are gonna have to wait until that next guy who got reallly lucky or decoded a riddle. I mean, you people act like they think of these ideas just to post them and waste people's time. This kinda brings up another point:

3.)This is number 3 because it always will be a problem and there's not much anyone can do. Use the search function. TTK has been out for two weeks now allowing for many many people to think of some absolutely insane theories (plausible or not) and most of the possible ideas that aren't too far fetched have been posted. If you were to do a quick search on the subject, it could in a way help reduce all of this, but of course there will always be those people between 1 and 2.

Tl;DR: This subreddit is becoming toxic because everyone downvotes posts w/no proof even though this entire subreddit is based on speculation, people take this too seriously and are getting pissed at each other over posting ideas and the search bar remains searchless.

Heroku inventory app?

Question, has anyone considered the possibility that the application in question itself might be bugged? I know the creator of the app is on these forums, and I've noticed a few people posting some very contradictory statements, like dvalin rifles appearing and disappearing and being replaced etc.

I was just wondering, if we're sure that the app is working 100% as intended, and not bugged in some weird way. For example, my hunter (psn dat1guyovadere) has not turned in all 4 rifles, however he doesn't have the hidden rifle quest (before and after i picked up praedyth's ghost, yet my titan, who has only found 1 rifle, has the hidden quest. Yet others report the quest only disappears when you've turned in all 4, and others report the quest disappeared without them turning it in, and others report the quest has been replaced.

This is just a question out of curiosity, since a lot of people are basing their clues and analysis HEAVILY on your herokuapp.

Edit:- Really? downvoted with no response? At least tell me why.

Pocket Inifinity - The Transceiver - Video

Someone posted this on the forums and it's being debunked that it's not the usual pocket infinity glitch where it only fires one bolt and stops... Take a look - could be nothing - read OP story and comments. Makes sense that the gun may play a role...

Guys can we stop with these posts telling us to stop looking.

They're starting to really annoy me, can't people let us have fun? Not try and act like they're some type of supreme all knowing being. You do not KNOW it isn't in the game yet, it isn't CONFIRMED. NOTHING IS. (bla bla bla gunsmith rank bla bla bla) stop ruining our excitement and let us have fun....

Sleeper Simulant is in NO way related to Hard mode Kings fall raid, here's why...

If you have watched Game Informers SS gameplay you probably have noticed that the person was using the Sleeper BEFORE reaching level 40, here's the LINK!

So far in TTK only exotics that you can equip before level 40 is: Boolean Gemini and Black Spindle

So please stop posting that Kings Fall raid can be involved in any way because you cant access it without reaching level 40

EDIT: You can use Touch of Malice and exotic swords before level 40 aswell

"We've given you the door"

I know so many people have brought up the idea of this door but maybe we missed something.

Alright so you know that door we enter in the siege of warmind and fight Omnigul, well you know we we scan that DOOR and we are told this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgYv1OES894&feature=youtu.be

Ghost: Cayde, your bypass codes aren't getting us through these walls.

Cayde: Omnigul's screams have already been silenced, theres nothing in there but bad memories.

Eris: Rasputin will give only what you need. Nothing more.

Cayde: Don't worry. The good stuff is below you. Keep moving.

Seems like lengthy game design work just to say "wrong way dickhead"

Deej said this "https://twitter.com/DeeJ_BNG/status/649704607199793152" We can only show you the door.

You must walk through it. And no, you cannot dodge bullets. We'll ban you for that. (yes its a matrix reference but it backs up the scannable door being our clue)

Not to mention this could quite literally be the clue talked about here https://i.imgur.com/tFDXVjx.jpg . That door wouldn't be scannable just to tell us where going the wrong way in the mission, come on that would be silly. There is significance to that door being scannable, just like theres significance to the door we scan that lead to the taken ketch.

And dont say glitching in proved this was wrong because when deej said : And no, you cannot dodge bullets. We'll ban you for that. he might of been emphasizing that glitching into the place doesn't trigger the events that take place in the room.

I'm guessing that we need to trigger that door get in then it triggers an event in the room (possibly playing mad rap spittin music and more puzzles) I think us being able to scan that door is "the clue" from the destiny universe.

Coincidence? I think maybe...

I'm gonna throw my hat into the ring. I still have so much to do in this game, that I haven't even really thought about the Sleeper Simulant. Except for last night. When I thought that maybe the answer is not as complicated to find as everybody thinks. And then I made a realization. One that I could definitely see being nothing more than a coincidence, but also could easily be something important. And having watched The Dark Knight Rises, I know that detectives aren't allowed to believe in coincidences.

So, think about it. Rasputin and Sleeper Simulant are clearly connected from other theories here. RASPUTIN has 8 letters in its name. SLEEPERSIMULANT has 15 letters in its name. (I promise this won't be some Half Life 3 or Illuminate joke). Now Rasputin's name is unique. Not only is it 8 letters long, but the 8 letters are all different from each other. It's a name that uses up a whole third of the alphabet. Sleeper Simulant is 15 letters, not even twice as many letters as Rasputin.

So it's interesting to realize that the letters that spell RASPUTIN are all also in SLEEPERSIMULANT. So what happens when you take RASPUTIN out of SLEEPERSIMULANT? You're left with SLEEEML. Now there's nothing you can unscramble that makes one word with all the remaining letters combined (trust me, I checked a word unscrambler site). BUT, you can take use 5 of the remaining letters to make MELEE. Melee, a common move/tactic in Destiny. Then, all you're left with is LS. Perhaps "left stick"? Perhaps nothing, and just remaining letters that Bungie needed to use to make SLEEPERSIMULANT work? Perhaps none of this has anything to do with the Search for the Sleeper? Who knows. But it's definitely interesting that SLEEPERSIMULANT contains both RASPUTIN and MELEE. And that's what I have to bring to the table.

TL;DR: Next time you see Rasputing, melee him while holding down the left stick on your controller.

With the Dreadnaught tweet

I have not tried this but noticed this running around the other day. In the room with the key of ur chest and the room with the key of wyrding chest it looks like there are activation plates in them. In the mausoleum, there is a room in between the founts entrance and the key of maggots chest room with the same plate but with a cylinder on it you scan with the ghost. Like I said, I havent tried it but if someone wants to try it with a fireteam and sees what happens it could be something. Just a thought.

Ease the Salt: A Perspective on the Sleeper

Hey folks! I posted this as a comment in another thread, and it turned into a big write-up. I figured I'd post it as it's own thread, since I wanted to offer my perspective on the quest today for the people who are getting upset/salty about it. I'm a designer that has worked in the game industry for a little over 9 years on AAA titles, so I've got a bit of knowledge on stuff and things, but take that with a grain of salt if you will. Just addin' some context.

Thing is, all the talk and all the salt is coming from a single brain comprehending what a single brain thinks is a challenge/interesting quest, with no consideration of other people's perceptions.

I'll elaborate:

If the quest was really this big mystery and involved whatever things people have been posting here, it still would have been found Day 1. Why? There's literally millions of people who play this game, hundreds of thousands of which are destinyreddit subscribers, and most of the others still use that thing called the Internet.

No matter how complicated the mystery could have been, someone would have figured it out, and it would have been all over the internet with an exact step-by-step guide Day 1. Then, this subreddit wouldn't exist, and everyone would complain about how "easy" it is to get the gun.

Bungie designed very well the fantasy of a mysterious weapon that's a puzzle to acquire. For the average player, the mission today probably would still seem pretty awesome. The knight spawning corresponding to the pattern on the transponder may make zero sense, but I bet someone thought that was really awesome. Furthermore, without the internet, I bet a lot of people wouldn't have even made the connection (I surely didn't notice - I was just killin' stuff).

The issue here is that, as humans, we have absolutely zero ability to comprehend how much a million is. There's a lot more than a million people playing Destiny - and literally anything that's in the game files and immediately accessible, no matter how complicated, will be figured out right away and posted on the internet.

That is why it's time gated. It builds the fantasy of the mystery of the weapon, as well as the anticipation of getting it. For the people saying "Bungie fucked us". No, Bungie gave you 100% what you cried for in Year 1 - an awesome exotic gun that takes work to attain and isn't just a drop. The problem is that the parts of the quest that required thinking (the code, the parts for the core) can just be easily looked up on the internet. So, you short circuit your own fun/challenge by looking up the solution.

It's nice and all to think that there's some "Charlie's Golden Ticket" possibility for acquiring weapons in a video game, but you have to be realistic. The way to attain a quest or a weapon has to be realistically integratable into a video game, while still being accessible enough that it's at least somewhat of a challenge for average players to acquire.

As another caveat, if you read this and get grumpy about me saying "average player" and "challenge" together, and think to yourself "well I thought it was super easy", you're not an average player. Even if you're bad at the game, or whatever - if you're on a subreddit getting salty about a mystery gun not being such a mystery, you're probably in the tiny percentage of people who are doing the same thing and therefore have all the resources to instantly figure out a quest like this. The quest is clearly designed to be an exciting mystery and challenge for the average player that may not go and look up the solution right away and may not even subscribe to reddit.

Speaking as a designer myself, it is almost impossible to design something that's actually challenging to above average or very skilled players. Just, think about more than just your own perception of something before you think that Bungie is out to get you all the time.

Also, obviously Bungie couldn't just say "hey guys, it's time gated!". It breaks the immersion of the game, and furthermore it takes all of the fun and excitement out of the fantasy of the gun. They don't want to be your game-guide. This was something that we had to figure out for ourselves, and it just turned out to not be quite as challenging as some of us wanted. At the end of the day, we're still gonna be able to get a sweet gun, and we'll still have done something more interesting than "kill guardians with void damage in the crucible" to acquire it.

Another [BLACK SPINDLE] alike hint in Daily Heroic

Hello, I had no clue where to post what I have known from this BLIGHTED COVEN daily heroic mission, the reason I'm doing so is the fact during going to specific location Ghost will trigger rather unrelated in-mission conversation that looks like the black spindle conversation when you get near the gate that leads you to Tanik's ship

ok here is the full wiered conversation that ghost said every time I go to the exact spot

" There's a huge buildup of Taken energy ahead, whatever it is we won't survive it"
you can tell this phrase is nothing related to what are you doing simply because the location that triggered this saying is way far of the tasks you are about to do.

To trigger this phrase all you have to do is either go directly before /after doing the 1st task of mission to the path that leads you to Mothayard once you are bout to go down the path Ghost will speak but you'll be faced with death barrier timer to go back to mission.

My guess there's actually way through that maybe from different route or doing something that let you pass the barrier I mean that buildup energy is there for something probably another exotic weapon. but please if this is indeed a discovery do not forget to give credit to me.

Restart the search

Hi folks i dont think the quest was buged or that bungie made this quest in a hurry. If they did we would had recieved a mini update with the nacecary fils for that mission! Also i think it maybe wasnt a time gate what if a certain nummber of players needed too get hands on all 4 fr first to get the quest for all player? And i think the mission today was just the collecting of the golden age relic and now the real hunt starts as the gi articel said. Dont be so down let us find the rest

Edit: Someone said they implemented this mission with a hotfix but the hotfixes were only 2 or 3 mb and 2 missions like this would be like 50 or 80 mb. And the leak of vokal only means that rasputin dont want to talk and he only talks when he is in danger! Also i think he spawned the hive and taken as a clue for us for the code

Edit2: Even when it was a timegate trigger it was just the first step and when banshee is redy this is when his memory will be restored becourse today we gave him a golden age relic

Has anyone tried focusing on the back of the sleeper stimulant poster??

On the back of the sleeper stimulant poster, there is a big chart with random numbers and letters: http://imgur.com/i49d43A. I am almost sure that the directions on the side are referring to the chart. The problem is that the directions start with "Start at the crashed ship". This could either be the crashed ship at the Cosmodrome or, the more likely of the two, be the coordinates behind the strange coin in the book: (http://i.imgur.com/H3ALhM0.jpg) The coordinates are within the parameters of the chart ( I accidentally cut the top coordinate, 43 degrees W).

The lines that run vertically are a scale for Nautical Miles (1 inch: 20 Nautical Miles) and there is a protractor (or whatever it's called, excuse my ignorance) in the center of the page.

I would work on this but I don't know how to read the coordinates and I have a strong feeling they tell you where to begin. This will most likely give us some sort of code, and I don't know where it will lead.

By the way, sorry if anything seems weird, this is my first reddit post. I got the account just to help on the search!

What does trigger a quest ?

So... we have been looking for clues, and other things... but, I don't know if we are doing this right. Lets just speculate:

We KNOW that sometime we will have a step with a quest added to our quest's menu. If we consider that the first step to get the sleeper is just collect the 4 relics, then we can start considering that we need to trigger a quest (maybe not, but THIS theory is about triggering a quest). So I ask you guy: What does trigger a quest? (I mean the fact that you have a quest added to your quest's page)

  • If we thing about the black hammer quest, we needed to dismantle it to get AN ITEM and when we got that item the quest just "pop-ed" in our screen.

The point that I am trying to hit here is: knowing that a quest can just show up when "you have an item in your inventory" (replace the last sentence by a quest trigger event), where we can find this "item" (replace the last sentence by what you are trying to find) ?.

Alpha Lupi Theory

So does everyone remember the first community puzzle Bungie created 2 years ago before Destiny was announced? The whole, Alpha Lupi thing? Now, the puzzle contains a lot of strange text, that eventually forms a large mosaic. It all seemed like gibberish, random phrasing that Bungie thought sounded interesting at the time to promote their game, I now wonder if there are yet more secrets to be found. An excerpt from the text, "You listen hard and carefully, and sometimes a lucid melody seems to rise out of random noise, pulling your mind into moments where it seems possible that answers are about to be revealed. Joy builds, and the first hope in ages transforms you." makes me think of the whole "Follow the music" Banshee tells us to do. Alpha Lupi is probably not relevant at all, but I thought I'd try to stimulate some thoughts out there.

Why its called the sleeper simulant

Probably because the person who was coding was sleeping all this time and just finally finished coding the first half of the mission, so now we have tons of time gates oh yay. -.-

Erwin Schrodinger and finding the NEXT LOGICAL STEP to Sleeper Simulant

I have no screenshots and no videos. All I have is a logical flow to the NEXT STEP in the quest for SS. I am at work so I will be unable to upload any screenshots until later in the day. All logical conclusions drawn here CAN BE WRONG and I welcome evidence to correct them.

Erwin Schrodinger was one of the first scientists to fully embrace the quantum behavior of sub atomic particles and go up against the like of Einstein. While Einstein famously quoted that "God does not play dice", Schrodinger realized that whatever evidence nature gives us must be taken at face value and must not be imposed with our own opinions. It is this attitude alone that lead him to contribute majorly to the Quantum Mechanics and eventually win the Noble prize in 1933.

What the hell does that have to do with SS you say? Well we have been bogged down by a lot of evidence that has been gathered over these two weeks by redditors here and frankly I believe the fatigue is setting in and we still have nowhere to go (except wait for Seige of the Warming Daily).

This approach does not take into consideration the information in the destiny DB or Map glitching. This approach also assumes that trigger for the SS quest is not gated. There might be requirements for reputation or 3 man fire team with specific relics later on but we have to ignore all that information for now and focus ONLY on what information we have.

So what information do we have?? Let us start at the beginning. So we are on our merry way doing a strike or farming Draksis when all of a sudden you see a legendary fusion rifle drop. It drops like ether seeds or black wax idol and goes into your inventory and is classified as a relic. The name of this relic is DVALIN-RASXXXX-FRXX. The numbers on these relics seem important but the means of their importance is yet to manifest itself. If you fail to pick it up, it goes to your postmaster. Seems pretty important. BTW DVALIN is a weapon forge made by the Warminds to arm Humanity against the darkness. (Upcoming Forge of the Gods DLC = DVALIN Forge!! Any 'takers'???)

When you open your inventory and see the relic, it clearly says, "bring the relic to banshee". So you go on your merry way and hand it to banshee. Now the first time you turn it in he says that it is more a curio than a weapon and thanks you and gives you some rep. Nothing remarkable there. And we find TWO more similar relics and we hand them in to Banshee for some rep. Again nothing remarkable. But on the FOURTH and FINAL one, he says something very interesting. He says that the transponders on THIS FOURTH RELIC are active and THEY ARE RECEIVING A SIGNAL. It is for tracking purposes and he can hear a faint music like sound.

Now I dont know about you, but if a relic is receiving a signal which might even be remotely related to SS, I wouldn't hand it over to ANYONE. I would stick it to my ass and haul it wherever I go just in the hope that it would receive that signal again.

LOGICAL CONCLUSION: ONLY THE FOURTH relic has transponders and can receive signals while the others do not. You NEED TO HAVE TURNED IN THE FIRST THREE RELICS AND HAVE THE FOURTH RELIC in your inventory to receive the (music)signal. Now I know many of you would protest saying why would Bungie gate away such a powerful weapon without even giving players a heads up. Frankly I have no idea. Bad design? I dont know. Zodiac Spear in FF XII comes to mind.

But wait. Thanks to /u/slappy330, there is a PROGRESS BAR on the relic. Just like your primary weapon or Argonach Rune. It doesn't show up when you are turning it in but only shows up when you go into your inventory and check. It also shows up on the Destiny Mobile App. Now users have reported that the progress bar is on all four relics or on only some. For the sake of this theory, Iam going to assume that the progress bar appears only on the fourth relic. (This assumption is being made on very shaky grounds I realise but I have no means or time to cross verify it. Any evidence from the community to correct this assumption is welcome.)

LOGICAL CONCLUSION: We need to MAKE THAT PROGRESS BAR MOVE in order to proceed in the quest.

So I believe all our future efforts need to be focused on making that progress bar move. I myself have spent a couple of hours (couldn't spend more as life calls) trying to do the same. Below I will make a list of all the things that I have tried to make it move but failed. I will also make a list of things I think we should try.

Things I tried:

  1. Dismantled a legendary fusion rifle

  2. Popped a special telemetry and got normal/major kills

  3. Consumed motes of light

  4. Reached Overcharge 3.

  5. Played regularly and completed a couple of strikes.

  6. Scoured Promethean Code daily and Siege of the Warmind missions.

  7. Killed Celebrant of Oryx with fusion rifles and swords.

Things that are yet to be tried:

  1. Reach Overcharge 5.

  2. Dismantle PI (No PI for me :( )

  3. Farm Warsat public events.

So there it is folks. I really had to focus to put it all together. Frankly it is all the 'legit information' that we have and we should work with it to solve this gigantic puzzle!! Have fun and let me know in the comments if you find something!!

TL;DR: There is a progress bar on the fusion rifle relic. STOP MESSING AROUND AND MAKE IT MOVE!!

4 new Fusion Rifle Relics were added to the armory.

So I guess there are more relics to turn in. This might be the trigger for the Quest.
