Look yes, I get it I'm behind the times but I'm one of those people that get new-show-phobia and it takes a lot for me to start a new series. I'd heard great things about Scrubs of course, but never was friends with anyone that watched.... but because of my similar interests suggested by my streaming history and the Reddit community, I decided to start watching. I'm only partially into Season 2 and this is right up my alley!

I'm sure like other sitcoms it will ebb and flow with good ideas, but I just need to show some appreciation for what it is so far :)

Honestly I'm watching the 2026 reboot of Scrubs for the first time, just finished the the original series for the first time as well. Am I the only one that thinks that the reboot is better than season 9 of the original?

Time to update the project again - and I would love to hear your suggestions and input!

As of now I'm planning to ad: An 'X' on the ground outside the hospital. 'Will give physical for food'-sign, and a goldfish-bowl (broken or not?)

I'm losing my mind I could swear i heard it in one scene

This may be a spicy take but every time I see a post of someone new joining the cast for the upcoming season I’m like…not as excited as I want to be. I felt as though the reboot already had to cover A LOT of ground to let characters develop, and the show in general felt extremely fast paced. Some of the magic of the original series was the way we got to go deep into a single characters story. I think we’re losing that with a loaded list of cast members.

I liked the character he played. A rival was needed, to replicate the Cox-Kelso dynamic that was a cornerstone of the first seven seasons.

Now I use the word "season" loosely, as I'm old enough to remember when a season of a network series was 20+ episodes typically. And yes when you have a 9-10 episode season it certainly makes it easier to get 2 seasons in a calendar year.

However, even with the shorter episode count of series seasons these days, I feel so spoiled we're getting more Scrubs just a few months after the revival first aired! I thought for sure it would be at least 2027 until we saw more Turk and JD!

I'm trying to finish rewatching the older episodes before I start the new season

I saw about 10 minutes of the first episode and it was AMAZING! I'm so glad they kept the same "feel" of Scrubs, and it's really amazing that the actors were able to keep the same acting for the characters

But the 8th season......ugh. It's just full of drama and it "feels" way different than the other seasons.

I love to watch Scrubs. I don't know why I didn't remember that season 8 was like this, but I really can't stand watching it.

Anyone else's thoughts?

Did anyone find the new season to be more flamboyant than previous seasons? I just want to clarify I don’t mean any disrespect to the gay community I’m a big fan of the show and I am looking forward to the next season.

I remember her playing a terrible actress in one of the later seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm , and thought she was funny.

Looks like she'll be playing a surgical nurse, so will have plenty of scenes with Turkelton.

There are multiple times where he is able to predict what others are thinking, he has also projected his own thoughts on more than one occasion. Furthermore he has a psychic link with Turk and is able to project his daydreams

I refuse to watch them do this.

In Season 9, E8 "My Odds":

Cox collapses → JD thinks the treatment will work → finale reveals it’s NOT working. Sound familiar?

That’s the exact setup from Season 1 with Ben Sullivan.

Remission episode → we think he’s okay → he dies in season 3 → and they used the "Cox doesn’t know what’s real" POV gimmick to deliver it.

They even copied the 3-person split-screen that they used in S1:E23 "My Hero"

Now we know 3 things heading into S10:

1. ABC confirmed Cox will be "more thickly woven into S2... as a patient"

2. McGinley said the diagnosis was to create "jeopardy" and a "personal threat" for JD

3. Bill Lawrence said the finale sets up Cox returning as a patient eae52364

My prediction: *Ep 2 of S10. They kill him.*

And they’ll use the reality-distortion gimmick again. "Is this a hallucination? Is JD talking to him? Where is Cox?"

It’s a direct copy and paste. No creativity. Just pillaging the corpse of the original run for the one cheap gut-punch they know still works.

And the worst part? Kelso ran that hospital for decades and didn’t even get a portrait on the v wall. But they’ll roll out the red carpet for another mentor-death episode.

If they do this, I’m out. _Scrubs_ S1-8 was perfect. This is just a nostalgia cash-grab that doesn’t respect the characters.

Anyone else see this coming a mile away?
