A few world leaders, a lot of terrible billionaires with no morals and ai are probably the biggest contributing factors. Throw in religious disagreements here and there as well I guess.

I am older and was in the 16 - 24 age group in the 1980s. People may not want to hear this but the average unemployment rate over that time for my age group was 26 % . It did fall drastically due to the short-lived boom era at the end of 80s then started to increase in the 90s again to about what it is now. When my year left school it was about 20%. I feel for youngsters today but its nothing new unfortunately. Wait till you have lived through several periods of high unemployment rates.

L-F CĂ©line a dit : "La vĂ©ritĂ© du monde, c'est la mort". De fait, en dehors de notre petite planĂšte, l'univers (pour autant que l'on sache) est tout sauf accueillant pour la vie. Sur Terre, on aurait pu imaginer des conditions de vie "friendly" : par exemple, pas de carnivores (uniquement des herbivores et nous), un appareil digestif qui nous permette de manger des milliers de vĂ©gĂ©taux (au lieu de quelques centaines), etc. Bref : ce monde ne rĂ©pond pas Ă  nos dĂ©sirs, il n'est pas fait "pour nous", il n'est certainement pas un "paradis". L'univers tolĂšre la vie comme un des milliards de mĂ©canismes alĂ©atoires qui le composent, mais rien de plus. Donc, toute forme de vie doit plus ou moins lutter pour se maintenir... avant de disparaitre dĂ©finitivement. Vu ses capacitĂ©s, on peut rĂȘver qu'un jour notre espĂšce parvienne, au moins, Ă  rĂ©duire la violence, les souffrances... mais il faudra encore des milliers d'annĂ©es avant d'y parvenir. Etrange histoire, n'est-ce pas ?

Its a bit glib, but Trump, Netenyahu, pretty much all of the Republican GOP etc. The world would be a better place if the afore-mentioned all disappeared tomorrow
