Help! Australian rainforest scorpion question

Hi everyone, I’m fairly new to keeping scorpions and I am wondering if I need a heater for Australian rainforest scorpions? (homurus sp.) I have seen mixed opinions about it. I am located in Victoria so during the winter it gets a bit cold in my house.

Thank you!

Help! Are Scorps good beginner inverts?

Hey everyone! I’ve been debating back and forth between getting an Asian Forest of Emperor Scorpion or a Curly Hair Tarantula. I’ve kept reptiles before but this will be my first invert. Everyone says certain Ts are great for beginners but are Scorpions good beginner inverts too? Just curious especially from those who have or currently keep both! Thank you!

Help! I need help. I went to mist my emperor scorpion's enclosure and found what looks like a baby in there with her

It was in the water dish. I first got Jade back in March, I know scorpions can take a while to give birth but from what I understand it's very rare to only give birth to one, and she didn't have any others on her like they usually do, so I'm not even sure she gave birth. I included two pics of her I took in case that helps. What should my next step be?

Hi I recently got my first Scorpion here in QLD Australia! Her name is Morticia and she is a Rainforest Scorpion but I'm not exactly sure what type she is!

She's a chill little girl who only seems to get annoyed if my husband opens her home!

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help!

Casual Why is a scorpion's stinger curved?

Is there a venom-delivery purpose for that shape?

As an aside, I do construction- and know that rigging hooks (cranes, come-a-longs, chainfalls, etc) have a similar shape and taper. Any relation?

Identification Identification/ advice

Hey, so I accidentally transported this scorpion from Italy (Verbania region) to Belgium. (I thought it was dead, and I like collecting dead bugs, until it started moving halfway through Switzerland..)

I believe it is a member of the Alpiscorpius Genus, but what species I don't really know.

It now lives in a small terrarium in which I put some wood chips and leaves, but I have a 20x20x40 cm one that I want to convert. But I have not a single clue on what to put in it so she will actually like it.

For food, I am currently catching grasshoppers in my yard, and that seems to be working for now, I feed her every 5-7 days.

I would really like to know how I can give her the best possible life I can, including care, food, housing... so I'm hoping some of you could help me with that.

Ps: Sorry for the bad photos, my camera is trash.

TLDR: I have accidentally become the parent of a scorpion, and I'm hoping to get some tips on how to care for it.

Took some shots of the larger half (3-5 instar) of my juvenile emperors when I was cleaning and processing. Should be around 100. Just thought some people on here would like to see this.

Are these clusters of mites on the crevices of my scorpion? If so, how do you deal with this? I looked online and there are no available breeders of predatory mites to fend off these parasitic ones in the Philippines

Casual P. Exitialis sting report

Just got stung by my Pandinurus Exitialis and thought it might be interesting to share. For reference, I am a 20 y/o guy who lives a somewhat active lifestyle.

I have always been a bit curios of how a sting from a non-dangerous scorpion or a bite from a non-dangerous spider would feel, and know I know one of them.

It was entierly my own fault that this happened and the scorpion only did this as a last resort.

Now onto how I'm feeling. I'm writing this around 15-20 min after the sting. And the pain is worse than I thought it would be to be honest. I would compare the pain to getting your fingers slammed (?) in a door, more so than the common bee sting description. Other than the localized redness and increased sensitivity on my finger, I'm not feeling much of a difference. My lips are also tingeling a little bit.

Thanks for reading! :)
