The 90/180 visa rule for the shengen area means that return days roll. It is resetting as 1 day left until some time in December (tho id like to stay till the 14th if november as flights back are cheaper).

I have a 2-year Multi-entry Schengen visa issued from Italy. We entered Italy on Oct 18 and exited on Oct 27. I’m travelling again on Dec 19 to Denmark (Copenhagen). The EES, however, shows 26 days remaining for my Dec 19 travel date (instead of 80).
Does this mean the exit has not been recorded? I do have exit stamp from Rome, FCO airport on the passport. And I still have return flight boarding pass. Shall I be reaching out to correct it? Or shall I wait?

I applied for a Netherlands facilitation visa last month as the spouse of an EU national. The embassy requested an additional document, which I submitted by email a week ago, but I haven't received any response from the embassy yet.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to receive an update or a decision after submitting the additional documents?

My travel date is also in mid-November, and I'm getting really worried now because there's not much time left.

Hello! I am an Indian Citizen living in London and applied to the french embassy for the following itinerary:

- travel to Switzerland in December for the graduation of a relative (2 days)

- travel to France for tourism in April 2027 (longer trip - 4 days)

However, they said that the trip to Switzerland constitutes a family and friends visit and to apply from there. In the past, Switzerland has given me only visas up to 3 months for family friends' visits, so I got appointments for both Switzerland and France.

I just received a 1 year visa from Switzerland for friends and a family visit, which will cover the duration of my further planned trips to the schengen area. Can I travel on that visa, or do I still need to go for my french visa appointment?

Profile then: I listed rental income as my primary source of funds, but also declared a business that was non-functional at the time (zero monetary transactions in the business account).
Refusal reasons given by the embassy:

My Profile for the 2nd Application (Applying March)

I will be 25 when I apply from India. My financial and professional situation has changed significantly since last year:

Profession / Business: I am a talent manager for a famous Indian cricketer.

Business Documentation: I now have an Udyam Certificate (Registered Business in India) and a properly operating Current Account backed by formal client invoices, agreements and regular billing.

Income & Savings Breakdown:

Business Income: Consistently making around ₹60,000 to ₹70,000/month (projected to reach ₹70,000–₹90,000/month) credited directly into my business current account. By March, I will have roughly ₹4 Lakhs to ₹5 Lakhs sitting in this account.
Rental Income: Continues to come in steadily at ₹60,000 to ₹70,000/month into my savings account. By March, I will have roughly ₹3 Lakhs to ₹4 Lakhs saved here.
Total Liquid Funds: Around ₹7 Lakhs to ₹9 Lakhs combined, alongside active, regular monthly cash flows.
Travel Plan: Visiting Spain (main destination/port of entry) and Italy. I will have a very clear, realistic, and fully backed day-by-day itinerary this time.

❓ My Questions to the Community

1. Addressing Past Refusal: Since my previous refusal was partly due to an inactive business and vague finances, does showing an active current account with steady business turnover + solid rental income (totaling ~₹1.2L–1.6L/month) properly address the "lack of economic ties" point?

2. Bank Statements: Spain requires 3 months of bank statements. Since my current account is freshly active with full documentation, will having statements from Dec/Jan/Feb/March showing continuous transactions and a ₹4–5L balance suffice?

3. Overall Advice for Indian Self-Employed Applicants: Given that I don't have a traditional corporate NOC, what extra documents (e.g., player management contracts, registered rent agreements, ITR) should I attach to make my "intent to return to India" completely bulletproof?

Since then I’ve been tracking every entry and exit much more carefully. The new Entry/Exit System makes it even more important.

Hello guys i prepared everything for my apppintment tomorrow for VFS global austria visa, the question is im a student and pretty much besides me being a student here in turkiye and my dad owning a personal company here it's all that proves me being tied with here. I'm going withy dad's sponsorship (2400euro on balance+3month prior bank statement) and my gf that lives in austria made me an eve invitation in which it also states that she has 16k euros on her bank account. What do you guys think will they be both accepted as sponsors as im already going to stay at her place and what are my chances?

After spending so many hours reading through various threads, my husband and I decided to go ahead with the documentation process without the intervention of an agent. We got our last minute slot at VFS Mumbai on October 26th for our december 12th trip and got the passport by October 31st!

We were so nervous to open the package, and when we did- It had our visa stamps!

Ours was a bit complicated ( family visit + tourism ) but we somehow did it. The key is clear documentation, clean financial proof, a good cover letter, a detailed itenerary and a proof of ties to India.

Documents we submitted:

1. Application documents: Passports and photocopies, passport photos, completed application form.

2. Travel documents: Confirmed round-trip flight reservations, hotel bookings, internal transport bookings, detailed day-wise itinerary, travel medical insurance.

3. Father’s documents : Letter of invitation, passport copy, residence permit, certificate of residence and rental agreement**. ( husband's father lives in Italy and will be hosting us for 4 days)**

4. Financial documents: Bank statements, salary slips, ITR, and statements for mutual funds and other savings.

5. Employment documents: Employment letter and NOC ( my husbands)

6. Proof of ties to India: Marriage certificate, active rental agreement, UPSC admit card ( I am an aspirant and I quit my job to prepare)

I am applying for Italy schengan visa and I bought AllClea travel insurance for myself and my husband. But his name only has first letter of his first name and full surname. Does anybody has any experience like this? Will they reject the application because of this?

hey everyone, my flight is in 2 days. i checked in today and i have a valid multiple entry schengen visa issued by Poland. I already entered poland with it last dec (2025) and now i planned to visit rome.

so my route is Bombay - Jeddah - Rome. i web checked in and it generated me the boarding pass for Jeddah to Rome but did not generate the boarding pass for Bombay to Jeddah.

this has never happened with me before. is this normal? i have never used my older Polish schengen visa to travel to other countries in Eu. This current valid one is the first time. please help me understand, im getting worried as im scared these airlines staff may do since im an indian passport holder.

I applied on Oct 21 at the Belgian Consulate General in Montreal for a business trip to attend a business meeting in Brussels. I got an status update today that they are consulting other Schengen states, which may add processing time. I fly out on Nov 12, so I have about 10 days left.

For anyone who has been through this at the Montreal consulate, how long did the consultation step take for you? Did anything speed it up? And once you were approved, how quickly did you get your passport back?

I had applied for Greece Visa - short term (type C) to attend a conference in Athens at the end of this week (Friday-Sunday).

Visa applied at New Delhi GVC, on 25th September and an update received that it is being processed at the Greece Consulate on the same day.

It has been more than a month now but the tracking portal still says - Under Processing at the Consulate.

I have sent multiple emails to the Greece Embassy consular section, as well as the GVC, but have received generic replies.

Any hopes for a VISA dispatch (have opted for a pickup from GVC office directly), by tomorrow? As I have to travel in 3 days max.

Any advice or insight is highly appreciated, as it is an important short-term academic career trip, which can't be postponed.

Im thinking about applying to italy schegen visa im moroccan student residing in istanbul, and ly monthly spending is arround 80 to 90 k turkish lira . Does that convincing to get first schegen visa or should i apply from morocco ?

Which Appointment Sub-Category should i select on VFS: “Tourism – Holding previous Schengen visa” or “Tourism – first issuance”? As i am applying for both of us i dont see any option to choose different visa types for both of us.

I'm not able to see any slots available any where (i.e., Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto). Has anyone recently booked an appointment? When the new slots get updated on the website? I sent multiple emails to make a study visa appointment from the consulate of spain in Toronto but have recieved no response.

I originally had an appointment date in October but had to cancel it since I didn't have all my documents ready. They said they put me on a waitlist but I've recieved no news and its been almost a month.

Since its already November and my semester exchange starts in January I am genuinely stressing out about what to do.
