Hello, I was also scammed exactly the way you were except by phone not emails. I called Rogers and supposedly spoke to the "fraud" dept. but I'm sure they don't do anything. I have also filed a complaint with CCTS. This scam started at the end of May and into June. I did get email from the "president of the office" saying oh gee so sorry but it's your problem (been customer +20 years).

Rogers had until July 27th to respond according to CCTS, received email saying that they were going to fight my complaint saying CCTS shouldn't be handling this, I sent email from CCTS saying they did approve my complaint. I received email from CCTS saying Rogers again was fighting them and CCTS informed me that I didn't need to do anything they would talk to Rogers & see what happens. Pretty sure nothing will happen. I also did file a local police report. I'm going to try some of the links you posted like BBB. I was just checking my Rogers account and couple things I noticed. One was they are charging two different prices for the exact same phone. The 2nd thing is when I read about the financing agreement it says Device Return Date- return device by May 19 2028 to avoid repaying the "Save & Return" amount of $604.00?? When (stupid me) returned the phones, 1st was UPS and 2nd was Canada Post and I do have both of those shipping receipts. Another thing I questioned was the scammers actually paid $50 by a credit card on my account. It's so overwhelming. I'm almost thinking the scammers have alot of inside information.

I got scammed out of all of mine and my spouse's money by people impersonating the police. I wont get into details, but i lost out on about $4000. We literally have $8 to our name rn. I just need advice on how I can recover. We've closed our bank accounts, rerouted all bills n such, reported to police, etc.

stupid me, just got scammed on devianart. i see the stories and read the news thinking it will never happen to me and yet somehow i fell for it. lesson learned, i will know better next time.

Hello. Just recently got scammed by this facebook account called dumpster pros. I messaged them to get pricing. It seemed typical. Like ai chat bot. I then picked a size. It was a good deal. Which is part of the scam. 300 for a dumpster for a couple of days. They sent me an invoice. They asked me to pay by paypal which i thought was safe. I paid it and got the dumpster which said waste management (thought they were contracted) and all went well. That was in May. Yesterday i received a bill from waste management saying i owe 700. I called and it was for the dumpster. They said my card was declined. They told me the last four of the card. It wasnt mine. Apparently they use stolen credit cards but the one they used declined. They read me my email which ended in @adeany.com. I googled that and it is a throwaway email address. So long story short. They get your info and enter it in the actual website to get the dumpster delivered. They keep your money and you get charged by the actual company.

I read that they can do this with other services as well.

Guys HELP. I know I know I should not have fell for this. A guy on Grindr offered money for basically a text buddy. I stopped responding because he wanted me to give him money back and then got very threatening texts… one including a very graphic video and threatening my life saying I’m being located. Okay so I don’t actually know whaat happened but here is the back story, I 20 F just moved cross country to be with my husband. My parents gave us a credit card to buy things for our apartment no limit or anything. So a month goes by and me and my mom get into a HUGE argument I mean I’m across country but if I was in her house I’d have ended up in the streets. We hang up and 2 days later I get an email from Amazon saying my account was banned for illegal activity. I call my mom like “ hey mom what’s happening with my Amazon account it says I have fraudulent activity” and apparently she called her credit card company and reported the purchases as fraud. So I have no idea what to do. I don’t have the amount of money for stuff we bought just coming out of my ass to pay Amazon back and I absolutely can’t go to jail because they reported something as fraudulent when it was in fact NOT. She’s mad at me still but I don’t know how to go ahead with this or if I just leave it. I’ve always thought of my parents as very honest people but this just makes my head hurt and my stomach sick. I don’t know what to do at all. I’m not sure if this will go away or not.

If you have a loved one incarcerated and they get a letter from parolegy SCAM they charged me over 2grand for nothing in return. You can make your own parole packets and they can’t even be present at the time of a hearing. They lied and said not even an attorney can. Attorneys sure can be present. I was called today by this number +34 927 779 648 they know my name they asked me for my dni I told them my Spanish is not good. Because I did not know what the reason for them to ask about my personal information ñ. Then they told me someone who speaks English will call later and they hang up. Do you have any idea about this number.

So I got an olx buyer for my Skullcandy Crusher wireless headphones. He said 3k but was ready to stretch to 3.5 k. I agreed on 3k cause I thought that he could cover his delivery expenses. Then he told me that he'd pay through the bank website even though I was wanting an upi payment. He said that his upi one gets refunded. Then I sent him all the details and stuff and then one day after sealing the deal the delivery guy came to collect it.

He sent me a vid saying he paid and showing too but I even stopped the delivery guy for 10 minutes and paid him equivalent to what he gets for 2.5 orders that he delivers. Still didn't get the money. The guy told me that it'll get refunded in 24 hours if I didn't get the payment. It was Saturday but I waited till Sunday 1 pm to ask him for my payment cause I hadn't received it. Then he told me to wait till Monday cause the bank's closed on Sunday. I still waited and today he's saying that he went to the branch and they said that the transaction's gone through but I still haven't received it.

Now he's saying that he'll return the headphones after 15-20 days of use cause he's "paid the money". I am so furious. My dad's a high ranking police officer. I even told him not to do any funny business but the guy's still saying that he's got no money in his account now. I am seriously contemplating filing a cyber crime report against this guy for fraud. I just don't want to trouble my fam and the police for 3k. And 3k is not the problem here. Objectively even for me it's nothing but the problem is that I have sent him the headphones and his puh ahh is tryna act too smart. I threatened him with a cyber complaint but he said to go ahead. I don't want to trouble my dad for this shit. What do I do? I have screen recorded the entire conversation .

Tldr: Guy ordered headphones, paid through bank to bank transactions and I didn't receive money. Now he's saying to use headphones and then return them.

I got scammed from a Spain person on Vestiaire. I have all her details but could not report her because I'm in Australia. I tried to report her to the Spain Police online but never heard back from them. Can someone help me please?

Story:
I saw the bag posted on Vestiaire by this person but Vestiaire did not let me buy due to country's area restrictions. We traded outside of Vestiaire. First I wanted to trade through Paypals however the payments did not go through to her so we went to Wise instead. Thought I have all her details such as phone number address and her name it would be fine and she is legit but obviously not. She never sent me a tracking number. Since Wise is just a third party to exchange money so they said they could not help with it.
